My Family(11generations)

Tracking my family history back to eleven generation back, I am sure my family is not a native Taiwanese, because my mother’s family (which is the Wang family) was come from China around 1750, so I am the 9th generations of Wang family. No matter how hard I try, I have no idea about my father’s family (which is the Tsai family), because my father has no ideas of the the detail about the Tsai family either. So I will only explain about the Wang family. Here is some extra information, I found most of the Chinese family tree didn’t show the female in the family history.

About Wang’s family before they came to Taiwan(It’s about 2 to 3 generations)

Before the Wang family came to Taiwan, they lived in Nan-an prefecture(南安府) in Fujian(福建省) China. The very first person I researched was named Wang Shang Zong(王宗)He was a person who lived in China, he was born in 1658 and died in 1708. And he had three children during his life, named Wang Lien Dung(王聯登), Lien Keh Wang (王聯科) and Wang Lien Jiah(王聯甲).And Wang Lien Dung(王聯登) has another three children, one named Wang Juh Jou(王志助)(1742-1787), Wang Juh Zuwn(王志尊), and Juh Chang Wang(王志長).
And Wang Juh Jou(王志助) moving to Taiwan in around 1750 to 1770 as the 1st generation of Wang’s family were foving to Taiwan.
So I Will explain by the Wang’s history in Taiwan.

The 1st Generation

Wang Jeu Jou(王志助)moved to Taiwan with his wife named Yang Sheu Yu(楊氏玉)(1756-1827). And they has one only son, and they were farmers lives around 30km away from Taipei(台北), in Dashi(大溪), They are always selling their crops throw the Danshwai river(淡水河) to Taipei, because their farm is not that far away from Taipei and the access to Taipei was very convenient, so they are doing really well with faming work. But I don’t have any information about the reason why they came to Taiwan I assume they were looking for the new wealthy land, so they were coming to Taiwan.

The 2nd Generation

The only son that Wang Jeu Jou(王志助) had was named Wang San Chwen(王三春)(1784-1862), and he was farmer too. But he become a wealthy farmer throw his hard work, and he bought a large piece of land that rented to other farmers, so he became wealthy.

The 3rd Generation

Wang San Chwen married and had 3 sons, They were named Wang Bang Ean(王伴英), Wang Lian Jie(王涼基)(1816-1891) and Wang Tien Yian(王添炎), and all of sons were continued their father’s business, but they also began to trades during this time.
Wang Lian Jie is a person always work hard in everything, and he was a very kind person. So he became a person who control the Wang family’s business and passed it to the next generations. At this point, he begin to respected about every detail about education very much to his children to let them continue the business that he was doing when he was taking over the whole business of the Wang family.

The 4th generation

Wang Lian Jie (王涼基) married a person called Jian Shue Ai(江氏愛)(1825-?) and they had three sons, and they are kept growing their father’s business. The oldest son child was named Wang Chio Jing(王秋景)(1851-1940)and he was in charge of the real estate renting business. And the middle son was named Wang Die Lie(王地利), and he was in charged the trading business with other countries. The youngest son named Wang,Yien,Dwang(王煙), he was in charge of managing family fina money in Wang family. So the business is doing well and keeping growth.
Wang Dee Lie(王地利) is did especial well with his their family trading, because Japanese was taking over the Taiwan at this time, so he had many chances to having trade with the Japanese. As the extra information, Wang Dee Lie(王地利)’s 5th and 6th sons from his 7sons and 4 daughter were names Wang Deh Fu(王徳福)got a chance to go to Meiji University(明治学院大学)and Wang Deh Yuan(王徳縁) Keio University(慶応義塾大学) to studying. Sadly, Wang Deh Fu died at the airplain accident on the way to back to Taiwan from Japan. And Wang Deh Yuan become the Japanese Teacher, which was very rare, because Japanese was not very comment before world war 2, Japanese become the second most used language in Taiwan that Japanese taking over Taiwan in World War II, but nobody can speak Japanese in this time, so he become a Japanese teacher when he is coming back from Japan.

The 5th Generation

Wang Chio Jing(王秋景)married with Chen Shue Gan(陳氏甘)(1853-1926)and they had 3 sons and 7 daughters. The oldest son named Wang Yuan Chio(王元求)(1875-1953) the middle son Wang Chao ?(王朝？)(1876-?) and the youngest son named Wang Whei Whang(王輝煌)(1893-?) and the oldest daughter was named Wang Dwai(王対)(1891-?) and 2nd is Wang Shou(王熟).(It was rare that female were in the family tree, but I had no research about rest of 5 daughter.)
Actually Wang Yuan Chio(王元求) is a orphan from the Jung Family(鄭), every that only he can memory about his family is his family had a little store when he was little. He did not like to do the business from the last generations in before that Wang family did. So the economy in the Wang family was collapse in this time by his life style, and there should be a business chance from Japanese, because that the Japanese was taking over Taiwan in this time. But lucky he was a very honest person, and he likes to do the treditional wood carving technique that the Wang family created. But I am not sure who created that technique.

The 6th Generation

Wang Yuan Chio(王元求) has 2 sons and 2 daughters, the oldest son named Wang Tsai Mao(王財茂)(1904-1953) he was claver, always do ward, and he always got a good communication with other person. And he was challanged the very hard examination of Jpanese language during the period that Japanese take over Taiwan. Lucky he passed the examination, and he became a police by passed the examination. He was work at the place called Sanshia(三峡), and he married with It was near the place were the 1st generation lived in with his wife named Wo Shue Wha Mei(吳氏花梅) But she could not had a conception by some medical reasons. The youngest son named Wang Wen Lee(王文禮) and he was my grade-grandfather. He worked at the bank called Ganghwah Bank(彰化銀行) just right after he had a graduation from university with great score before, soon he advanced to the chief in the bank at Gelong(基隆) in 1 year, so he move to Gelong(基隆) with his wife named Jee Shue Jaw Jeu(紀氏招治)(1906-1930) but she didn’t stay in Gelong with him for long time, and went to Sanshia(三峡) because of the medical reason, and badly she passed away when she was 25 years old. My great-grand father so sad about his wife’s dead, so he was trying to moved to Japan. But his brother stop him so go, and arrange a new wife named Chen Shue Liow(陳氏柳).
She was class made when my great-grand father was high school. Actually her was falling love to him during the high school. (I think it was a strange thing, and I feel weird) But my great-grandfather agreed to married with her! And they had 6 sons and a daughter (because of the married, my mother’s family had a good relationship with the Chen family until now), those problem and Marriage celebrationware happened right before the World War 2 begin. When the world war was begin, there were almost all of the city in Taiwan got air raided included Gelong by American army. So my great-grand father move his family to Sanshya(三峡)(which is were his brother live in)to make sure they are safe ,and my grade-grand father stay and his oldest son (which was my grand father)in Gelong even they know they were under the air raided, because he want to guard his bank unger the war. And he became the director in Taipei affiliate until he was retired, because he did so hard to guard his bank. So he was a famous person in the bank.

The 7th Generation

my grandfather named Wang Wruw Yu(王如鈺)(1921-)is a oldest son of Wang Lie(王文禮). But during the World War 2 and Pacific ocean war, Wang Wen Lie(王文禮) decide to move his family to Dashi(大溪) because they want to escape from the war. But my grandfather and my grade-grandfather stay in Gelong for the job reason. After the war finished, my grandfather are almost graduate from high school, first he decide to take medical in University, but he change his mind in 1 week before the exam for University to taking science and engineering, and he passed the exam for university with only study for 1 week!
He foundation a company to make a gear after he married, he loves his wife so much even they never fight before and when his wife died in 1995 by cerebral hemorrhage, he wrote a book to memory his wife, and the book named in Japanese is Hohoemi(微笑)(smile). Now he has a top technology for making gears in Taiwan with his company. And I had herd a seen that maybe someone had married with Dutch in my grandmother side in my mother side. Because one of my uncle has an blue eye with him and even my sister has some of the red hair in her head(That was just a extra information).

The 8th Generation

Wang Wruw Yu has 4 children, and my mother-Wang Jau Jen(王昭仁) was 3rd child in the family. Her family was used to lived in the Song Jian Road at the central of Taipei until 3 years old (It’s close from the house were I live in Taipei), and they moved to Shulin, it is a north part in Taipei until she graduated the high school.
After she graduated from the high school, she went to the Keio University(慶応義塾大学) to studying. And that is the reason why my mother meet together with my father, and marry together.

The 9th Generation (about myself)

I born at Taipei in March 13th 1996, and my sister born in July 19th 1998. And basic we live in the same house until my family move to Japan by my father’s job in 2005. At first my parents was trying to let me go in to international school, but since it was impossible to go in, so I want to Japanese local school for 2 years and I have to study for the exam for middle school by Japanese, it’s hard to prepare Japanese. But since I ready for the exam, my parents move my sister to YIS and I went to the little international school called YICA for 1year.(YICA is a international school in the 5th floor in Yokohama YMCA)
And I went to YIS after 1 year in YICA until today and fututre.

At the end, I would like to thank to my grandfather to write the family migration by Chinese in 10years ago, so I can get the detail information about my family.

Which character do you want to play and why?

I choose Bottom from the choice of Puck or Bottom as the character in the story, because Bottom was funny when Bottom got transported to a donkey by Puck, and Titania fall love with him because of Puck, I think those situations that Bottom has can show Bottom is a key person of the commaty story. And I think Puck was a most important key person that makes sure the plot maintains momentum.

What do you think are the important features of this character and how would you go about showing these?

I think the most important feature of Bottom is he became a donkey by Puck’s joke, and Titania falls love to he as a donkey so I am expect what happened with Donkey and Titania.

What is, in your opinion, the funniest moment that your character is involved in? How would you make sure this scene worked?

The funnest part of Bottom is when Puck change him to a donkey, and Titania fall loves with him.

What do you think is the most important speech or single line that your character has in the first three acts? Please explain why this line is important.
Having read a the first two acts what do you think the themes of this play are and what is Shakespeare saying about those themes?

The important speech that Bottom say in the story is
“If I were fair, fain Thisbe I were only theme”(act 3 scene 1 90)
“I cry your worships mercy, heartily. I beseech your worships’s name “(act 3 scene 1 165)

When I am on the train, I always feel wired and sad with Japanese salary mens’ faces. The face they have is like a child who doesn’t want to go to school- maybe they really don’t feel like to go to work. Why they don’t want to work?

So I compared with American salary mens and Japanese salary mans.

In my opinions, I think the reason why the Japanese salary mens don’t really like the job they have is how badly with the working environment at Japan. But how about the working environment in America?

For transportation, most of Japanese salary man has to crush and stand at crowed and full train for over than 1 hour or some of them have to change the transfer the transportation more than twice to their office for the average for every day.

But most of salary mans at America are drive to office, not by train. The reason why is most of Japanese office is at middle of city, so they don’t have enough parking lot to let the salary mans to park own car.

In the office, Japanese salary mans have to sit on the little office table right next to each other, so it can bumps each other with the person who sit next to, and it can break the concentration for working by the noise from other people. But the American office has a well between the office table.

And the money that Japanese salary mans have is calculated by how long you worked. So most of Japanese salary mans have to work until late night.

But the American eway is calculated by how well do you work and how many profit did you made for company.

So those different showed the issue with Japanese salary mans.

But how to solve the issue with salary men?

I read  the one of Sakura Medal book called “Box Out”. Box Out is a motion that when you are trying to push out people who’s trying to get a rebound under the basket.

This story are not just tall you how to BOX OUT, It was a story about a senior boy named Liam Bergstorom who just join the basket ball team, and he becomes a captain. The reason why he join in is Coach Kloss-who is the basket ball coach want him become a rebounder. Because Liam is tall enough to be a rebounder and also he is a senior. The story will tell how Coach teach and train the basket ball team to win the game, and how Lian growth up the techniques of basket ball.

The reason why I choose this book was I was in the basket ball team, and I am the rebounder in this team, and I was struggling about “BOX OUT”. The box out is a position that you can push other people and get a rebound at under the basket. so I think this book can help me a little bit. And there is another reason why is the book was not so hard for me like a English beginner so I choose this book.

you know what Zipper is? And do you know how zipper works?
Zipper is a fastener that using at the clothes. Like jacket or jeans.
Zipper is a fastener that works by the cogs and using the slider to lock and unlock it to open and close the zipper. So, it can open and close the gap of those clothes.
The good thing of zipper is that it really easy to open and close, if you compare to the bottom. Bottom is another type of fastener that the clickers are fall in to the hall to open and close it, and it created by Islam and Crusade known the idea of bottom in 2000 to 1500 BCE.
Whitcomb L. Judson created the zipper in 1891 and the company called Universal Fastener production it that he made. But it couldn’t works very much, and it has many trouble for example that the zipper were stuck with the cogs and slider, or the cogs couldn’t lock well…etc, so people were disappoint about it. And they are keep trust the bottom in that time.
In 1913, the cogs zipper was improvement. The cogs of zipper wouldn’t stuck, and they can lock very well, so there was many company since in that time. “YKK”(Yoshida Kougyou Kabushikigaisha or 吉田工業株式会社 ) is one of the company that since in 1934 at Tokyo by Yoshida Takao. YKK has a very good technology to make a zipper or they can make the unique zipper that only can make. For example, the zippers were waterproof or airproof and they have a many sort of zipper. So YKK become the become the biggest share of zipper making company that has 45% of share for hall world and 95% of share in Japan.

I read the book and watch the film of Skellig, so I want to compare to the different way to tall us the same story. The different between the book and film is some of the part are changed or cut over in the film. For example, that Skellig can control the weather but the book dose not have that seen or the sean that Michal’s dad was trying to burn the house were Skellig was live, and Michal was trying to rescue Skellig from the burning house. But in the book, Skellig was live in the garage. So I think the reason why the film was different at book. Maybe director or the person was made the film was trying to makes more interesting or maybe the other of the original Skellig didn’t agree to make the film from the story, so the film was just the similar as the original Skellig book (I am just guise for joke, so don’t care about the last reason about the film.)

For Mr. Campball-The essay was not finish yet. the reason why I couldn’t finish it was I couldn’t have more idea or Actually, I have got the idea, but I couldn’t say by words in eny language I know…

This book was written by Nicolaus Capernicus in 1506.
He build a little astronomical observatory at Poland in 1512, and he start to investigation in his astronomical observatory to continue his book.
In this book are include the “Heliocentrism”, and the other 27 description in his book.
The “Heliocentric” is a description was talk about the Sun is a center of the universe.
And he makes 5 Chapters to describe those 27 descriptions of list…

Chapter1-The Stars are round the “Sun”
Chapter2-The circular between an astronomotics.
Chapter3-something complicated.
Chapter4-The Solar Eclipse and Lunar Eclipse.
Chapter5-About the detail of Mercenary, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn.
But when he trying to publish the book, he was scared the stress from church, so he says this book is a book for Pope Paul III. He has a power of the church, so Capernicus can have a relief from the attack from the church.
In 1543, the sample of the De Revolutionibus Orbium Coelestium was printed and just arrived, he are already dead by the heavy sick.
and he’d just touched the front page of the book was arrived.
