I really liked how Lomborg not only adressed the problems, but also provided solutions to these problems in a form of lists. However, I also agree that leaving out or ignoring any remarks made from oppositions is a huge limitation, as this ted talk only gives one perspective on this topic. Although Lomborg may talk about all the positive effects of his perspective, he could be leaving out major flaws from his plans to make himself look good.

i agree with wessel it is about how a parent will feel when we leave home and the sadness they feel but also the happiness they feel to know that were all grown up.
i think this poem is good and i think that we will feel this way when this happens to us if it happens to us.

This poem really touches me because both of my older sisters moved away. When I read about the bicycle scene I remember when I first rode a bike without training wheels. It doesn't talk about any other scenes in my opinion as it emphasizes how short childhood is. I think the one stanza is because it emphasizes the shortness of their life. It reminds me of the saying of "It feels like yesterday." I think you could've gone deeper with your analysis.

I like this poem too because i can relate to it and it shows you how parents really feel about us growing up and becoming independent. The similes used in this poem make it very touching.I think that the part about teaching the child how to cycle is a metaphor for growing up. I also agree with the theme of the poem being a relationship between child and parent. The poem should indeed be read like talking to a child. This makes it more relatable.
