Raising money and other extreme activities

On Saturday 6th of November, a bunch of us from the Middle school Community and service team (the CS) and some High schoolers went to Chigasaki (some place in the earth, probably Japan) to sell “items” at our booth at the bazar there. We me up at Yokohama st. early in the morning, around 8 – 9 ish, and go on the trains for a decade or so. We took a bus from there and got off at a random stop and walked to the busy bazar (notice the Alliteration , English class) and crawled through the crowd till we reached our tiny booth.
Well, booths would be the proper term. The bigger booth was given to the girls for clothing and wear-able stuff while we (my little cult and I)were provided a table for our book-selling business which was in a tough situation compared to our neighbours which seemed to be surrounded by a constant crowd of people. Eventually we persuaded some pass-byers to buy our books for a considerately low price (5 books for 50 yen, seriously). When we sold some books, I recommended, adopting pet rocks. See i’m the founder of this little cult i made, called “the Adopt-a-rock foundation” and its one heck of an organization. I’ve got people ordering pet rocks daily that even our principal has got one, which is very rad. Though these people at the bazar seem to be bored with the idea, i still got our YIS people adopt some rocks that day. Over all i’d say we were pretty successful in our business seeing that we didn’t have to bring back much items. We raised probably about 19,000 which is quite impressive but not absolutely great. Next time we’ll come back and sell more goodies to raise more money and we’ll be able to donate more for vander pel. if there was a next time. that’ll be cool.
