I found your blog post real interesting and had a clear message. I like images you have chosen for your blog post which fits well with the text. You like art work and the TED talk you have chosen is related to what you which is fascinating.

Your blog post gives a good summary of the TED talk, as well as mentions very interesting things about how Jordan shows the current issues through his artwork. I liked how you inserted figures into your post, which made it easier to understand what kind of artwork Jordan creates. It is very amazing to see how so many things can be expressed through art and I definitely agree with what Jordan had said in his talk. Overall, great job with the OPVL and I think your response was fantastic. I think you deserve a cookie.

I found it very amusing how he is able to portray these current world situations through art. Personally, the art looks like bunch of lines connected together but it's amazing how those "lines" conveys a message. I agree with your perspective towards smoking and cosmetic surgery. Not only does smoking harm the smoker, it also harms passive smokers. Good job Angeli :)

I've been a graphic designer for more than 20 years now. I'm fairly a novice to running a blog and
come across your web blog while searching for design blog sites.
I've got to point out just how impressed I am with all your blogposts and also the overall quality of your site. I'm hoping I
can start up a site like yours and will think about your blog
posts with great attention. Thanks heaps for that creativity buddy.

I really like how your reflection described your process/strengths/weaknesses. You have written it to an audience that was not there in the classroom with us. Good!
I also liked how you photographed your work at different stages and included it in. I'm glad the unit led you to discover coloured pencil techniques. As you said, of course you will forget some pastel techniques over time. Me too! However, a goal for part of this unit was to show you guys how much you can teach yourselves. Finding out how to do this yourself will be a life skill you will not forget and can apply to other things as well.
Some suggestions: How about hyperlinking the unit link from the wiki & your research into your reflection?
Otherwise, a very successful unit for you! Congrats!

The poem You chose is very funny and I enjoy reading it a lot. Cinder Elephant?!!! This is insane. Also the poetic devices being used in this poem is very good. I like the point that you mentioned that skinny people are not always beautiful. By reading this poem I also feel like writing a report on this. The poet of this poem is very smart and everyone who reads this also think the same way. However I do not think everyone is pretty like she or he said at the end.

I loved your entry. It was quick but yet told me so much about your point of view and after reading it, I completely agreed with you. You convinced me completely. I liked how you said that people like cookies but don't like fat people. Your literature was really good too. When I was reading it I was actually thinking 'is Angeli really writing this?' Its kind of annoying that I had to write so much though. I could literary put this in 1 word. Excellent!

Good morning Angeli! (its already noon)
I really think the way you analyzed this poem is very successful. For me, I can tell by your tone that you do agree with the poet's point of view. The way you described the princesses' body in a positive way then pointed out reality was a very strong statement. But that doesn't mean that those girls are to hated. Everybody is beautiful in their own way, with their own style and body shape. In my opinion, this poem is a bit negative towards those princesses. I disagree that this poem is about human rights. In my opinion, this poem just talks about our modern definition of "beauty"; this is a very debatable topic and I think that this poem is the poet's point of view on "beautiful". Or maybe what the poet's trying to say, is that just because somebody's "beautiful", doesn't mean they have a pretty life. Maybe you should have had mentioned more about the literary devices and how they make the poet's message spread out in our minds.

I was however, very very dissappointed that Yolen mentioned "Beauty and the Beast" (Bounty and the Beast) in this poem. I mean, that story is about inner beauty, just like this poem might be talking about.... [sigh]
