Mountain Biking

As we got close to the end of Field Studies i got to do the Mountain Biking activity. Before we began, we had a long stretch to warm our bodies up and after the stretch we all got assigned to a bike and received a helmet. Before we hood off, we had some practice drills we have to do. First we learned about the bike and about the gears on the bike. Then we learned how to grip the gripping part of the bike the proper way. We also learned the basic stance on the bike we used this stance all the way around the drill. Then we got into more advanced stances and it started to get a bit difficult to get used to them, but gradually i got used to the stances. At the end we went down and up small hills to test if we had all got it right. When we finished we headed off into the mountains.

When we just started we were just on the road so it was very easy, but as we got into the mountain it suddenly became really hard. There were rocks everywhere, holes all over the place and steep up and down hills which made the bike ride difficult but challenging. I found it very hard to dodge the rocks and so did others and sometimes we ended up crashing and all  most fell of out bikes. I also started to get very tired which made it also hard to steer. But as we were riding through the mountains sometimes we could see wonderful views and learned about nature at the same time, which was very interesting. When we got out of the mountain I was very relieved and happy that we could relax. And when we got back to North Star I was so tired i went downstairs and rested on the sofas. Although the activity was hard and challenging, i found it exciting and was interesting to learn the basics to the advanced of the bike and learn about the nature.
