Motomachi Map

I would probably ask all the shops (that im going to draw on the map), if the clothes are imported or not. This is because some shops won’t have their information on the internet since, some shops are not that popular and even thought, sometimes they have there blog, there is a possibility that it would not be that detailed.
I probably could have drew they keys more clearly, so it would be easier for others to look at it and recognize what they stand for. Beside that, I don’t think I would do anything different.
I think I did well at using the colors and how i made the shop’s name dark and bold to make it easier to see.
The use of colors, symbols, and keys are important in map making because if you had a bunch of words on the map it will be hard to understand which place is which, so those techniques help them easy to follow. Colors makes it stand out, symbols and keys categorize the place.
I would probably have more detail on my essay, such as the information and explanation.

I strongly agree to the answer to the first question. I would also ask the people who work at the stores where their brand/shops originate from and if they are imported or not, and if so from which country, because a lot of the shops represented themselves to be from a foreign country, when they’re actually fully Japanese, and a lot of those shops weren’t big enough to have their own website, and a lot of the ones that had their own website didn’t really tell us what country the clothes are imported from. This made things really confused. Personally, I spent ages trying to figure out which country the shops originated from, in order to finish up the map. Therefore, if I were to go back in time and redo the project I would return to Motomachi and ask them about their shops, as you said you would have.
