Art Reflection

For this task, I drew a girl looking at herself in the mirror. By using this photo, I wanted to show self confidence. This is because these days, a lot of girls are wanting to have this perfect body and forcing them selves to throw up or stop eating, which can lead to serious sickness. To express this serious problem, I used one point perspective to show the girl. I had the fatter reflection, smaller on the other side facing the viewer (us), and the other skinny girl looking in the mirror with her back against the viewer. To show one point perspective clearly, I had the bed, and the walls going to the vanishing point.

The difficulty I found while doing this project is painting the person. I needed to color the person’s whole body blue and i needed different tone of color to do the shadows and I found that part difficult. Meanwhile what I found successful, while proceeding this work is drawing the outline of the drawing.

I think I learned how to draw one point perspective, since I have never knew how to draw it before. After some practices, I believe I got better at drawing the one point perspective and for that point, I think I have improved.

For further improvement, I would probably use my time more widely and effectively because for this art work, we had extra time to finish it and next time I want to finish the exact due date. For being able improve, I would probably plan my planing quicker, so I can start the final one faster, while knowing what to draw/make for the next topic.
