What is the skill(s) I used?
I used a lot of body language, showing that I was an mother, I also used vocals, for example a weak voice showing that I was very old. It was mostly the posture and body language that I used.
How did I approach creating the character? Was it successful- if so, how?
I think that creating the character was a good successful. To show that I was lower status I also attempted to look weaker and older, by having a bent back, and shaky hands, and I also was very polite whenever I spoke to ‘M’, by calling him by the sir name and never saying no to any of the things I had to do, even if it became too much in the end. I also tried to be nice, for example even when I got fired I complimented him. This can also show that I need to respect him even if he doesn’t respect me.
What needed improvement? Make a suggestion?
I think I could work more on facial expression, and maybe also after ‘mr.Ford’ had removed the stuff I could’ve ‘massaged’ my arms to show that they are sore. I could also have spoken louder, still keeping a weak voice but speaking louder so the camera can easily record it and it is easier to hear.
How can I use these skills in performance?
I think these skills could help me in performance because being able to hear what the actors are saying is, of course, very important if there is a dialogue going on. I need to have more facial expressions and more movments which will help me in the future.

Drama ®eflection Unit 3
April 27th, 2012 by 17beej
In Drama unit three we did a story about many different folk tales, Mine was about Rumplestiltskin, in this folk talk I was many different characters, The old man, the dancer, The hunter and the baby my favorite character was the baby. I think I have improved a lot with talking and expressing to people who are watching me perform, I think our group needed to work on is moving into a better space because we were kind of crowded and mushed up in one place. we used patting on our legs for different parts of the play, and out performance was based on the story rumple stilt skin. I think i am a good actor but i can mess up some times because i dont remember somethings all the timeWhat could you do. I think our performance was really good and we made up somethings and that made it better also adding Markus Marry Daniella Made the performance better and more romantic. Describe the progress have you made so far. (You may need to review the skills and knowledge area for the unit, either on your cover sheet or at the top of this wiki). Describe the story elements and techniques that you used and how successful it was.I’ve made big progress throughout this unit. My biggest improvement has been modifying stories for a younger audience. I understand what they like and how they like it. How to make it more interesting and memorable. Something to do is speaking slower and more dramatic. This will cause it to be more memorable and funny. Also, we must face the audience while performing so that the children can see all the action that’s happening. Another way to make your performance more interesting is to relate your story with the audience. Involving them, asking questions; whether they have seen the ‘bad guy’ or not. Is your scene successful? Why or why not? I think our scene could’ve been better if we had practiced more. We made a few mistakes, a bit of laughter and had a kinda big mistake. This threw us off track. We all laughed. Something we could do next time would be to practice even more. Spend some time before and after school to make sure we were all ready. However, we did have some successful parts where it was very interesting and funny. The Video is Here :

Drama speech ®election
January 24th, 2012 by 17beej
I think that i did a good job on my speech the facts are correct and I stood and had good eye contact
I think that my strengths are keeping good eye contact and not looking down all the time.My weaknesses are Saying um and Saying “So…Yea”
I think my speech was successful because i presented well and kept good eye contact and hand movement and expression, and thats what a good speech needs.
I could improve by Not saying “so…Yea watever…” and I should get more points and more memories that make the people listening to my speech go oh yea i remember last week when james said something about this and that…
but after all my Speech was just how I planned it.

In this Drama unit we have been doing mime!
What did I explore today? In this unit?
I learnt some more facial expressions and hand and body gestures.
What did I learn?
Mime is a technique to express your idea without sound and noises. It’s a complete silence play. It’s really important to over express your facial expression so that the viewers can understand what you are expressing. You should imagine that the viewers are stupid and you have to explain in fine detail what you are doing but with out sound!
How can I use this in performance?
Well you can do what you wanted in this play so you could be really funny and make the viewers laugh or anything like begging really straight forward and don’t talk!
What did I know?
I knew that mime was with out sound but now i know how to do lots of things in miming
What do I want to know?
How to make it look a hole lot more realistic!

Art ®efleçtion

Writing a journal is not a new thing for me because i was writing a journal in grade 4 when we were on camp and now we are writing one again and i like it i like making journals it gives me something to remember like if i forget what we did and my grandma asks what i did on grade 7 camp and can just look back. I think that i am an ok drawer but i can still have lots more room to learn i am not the best i know lots of people who are better then me but it does not matter if they are better then me it only matters how i feel about how i can draw. My strengths will probably be the layout and the background of the journal and maybe the layout, but my weaknesses are drawing and my brush strokes in art i think that i can learn some more about brush strokes.
There are a few ways that i can improve my weaknesses and get better at my strengths, one way to get better at my weaknesses is to ask some one maybe that is there strength and they can show it how to be my strength another way is to ask the art teacher.A few ways to improve my strengths are the same i can ask some one and if it is there strength they maybe have a different way to do it and i might like that way but if it is there weaknesses then i can also help them and show them how i do it and they might also get a new strength.
