Earthquake

On Friday March 11th 2011, there was a huge earthquake. We were in drama class, and suddenly, a huge earthquake shook. First, it was a really long and huge earthquake. It lasted for a few minutes and we had after shocks. We, our class had to be in the middle of the room try to stay away from the projector and air-conditioners from the roof and being quite. Some people were crying while the  earthquake. I wasn’t crying but part of my sadness was on my family. I was worried if my family was alright.  Mr. Stanworth, our High School Principal, was telling us instructions, news to make people calm down which reminded me a lot by the announcement.  When the earthquake calmed down and settled, well I thought safe until a big aftershock shook. Earthquake occured again.

I thought it was just a earthquake, but it wasn’t. The aftershock was continuing and I saw a flame going over beside our school. I started to worry and I was calling my mom until it worked but the network was shot down. Listening to the announcement, I waited for my mom to pick me up from the school. I had a difficult time waiting for my mom and showed some tears. Afterwards we went to Mr. Guenther’s room. All the 6th graders were there. I was using a computer, and at the same time watching a movie called “千と千尋の神隠し (Spirited Away)” with everybody in the room. I waited in the room computer in front of me waiting for my phone to ring. Though the message was sent to me that my mom was fine so stay in the classroom. Me and other students remaining stayed. Well I was very shocked. That time, already I felt dizzy and fell down almost couldn’t breathe. I would like to thank all the people who have helped me while this hard situation. Well I then went to my friend’s house and slept. My mom came next day, early to pick me up. I felt happy and calm to be with my family.

Plates, books have been fell but though nothing was broken. After we have return to the house we have realized that it was the biggest earthquake in Japan and plan to go to Korea the next day.  Every channel was telling about the this earthquake for 24hours. That was probably the worst earthquake I have ever experienced.
