I think Gene Kelly did an awesome job using of Props, Rythm, expression and movements which is needed to have a great performance/dance. His dance was wonderful with creation of tap dance and singing with energetic and athletic dancing style. He used his prop as an Umbrella well and also water. He swing with umbrella and splash water have showed happiness of him. He tapped dance in the water which made a good combination sound as a background. He went through the street going back and force with use of empty space. And his expression of the first part and the last part was exiting where he gets in trouble at the last part when he was happy at the first.
