Poster about Gold

This assignment was assessed against the one world criteria. How does your poster show this skill?

My poster was very eye-catching and if you read it you would also have fun with it. I thought the information was good enough and explained about my element gold. I made it look scientific but also you would have fun while you were reading it.

This assignment was assessed against the communication criteria. How does your poster show this skill?

I think I wrote in very basic language but if I came a cross any scientific information my language cam a bit more advanced.

What was the most challenging thing in completing this project? 

I think it was hard finding scientific information to put on my poster about gold because I found more historic information about gold and so it was quite difficult.

Have a look at some of the other posters, which element would you choose if you had to do this assignment again – give a reason for your choice. 

I would do Amanda’s element which was neon. I would have done that because I thought it could have been more of a challenge at it is actually a cool element also.

After many weeks of work, I have finally concluded my line drawing. And I have to say I’m pretty gratified.  In the beginning of the year, I was uncertain about line drawings and by using lines to make the picture looking realistic but after looking at a few examples from Van Gogh, it got easier. My favorite fragment of my art is the midground because that was the part that I spent a lot of time on. I used various of depths in all different grounds especially in the midground and also used excellent choice of pattern for a specific area. The hardest bit was the brick wall. Because it is the foreground, I had to make it look effortless and undemanding so it was hard for me to do that. I would’ve liked to work on the overall portrait, just with the details.  Another hard thing was for my background, I had to create a whole new sky because on the actual picture it was a clear blue day so it took me a while to think and to choose a pattern for the sky. Consequently, I tried my best, and personally I think I did well!

In class, I have geven and receved feedback from my table group.

When I gave feedback to Akari, I told her she used too much of the same pattern so I told her to have different ones to make more unique. For Emily, I told her that she should put more detail into the patterns. Finally for Kate, I told her she should change the mountains so it looks more like a mountain than the sky. My group told me that  I had to make the clouds more realistic and I had to change the pattern of the rocks.

Language is powerful  in many ways. We communicate in our language so we can understand each other. We express our feeling with our language so the other person know what you mean. We explain so thy will get the right answer or understanding. We share with our language and we learn with our language. Making friends is important because when you want to get know them , you should be able to communicate with each other.
