While I was listening to your speech about the poem, I agreed with the things that you said. I liked how you used things that really happen in reality. I liked how you said about the princesses. In cartoons they are all perfect but in reality they are just skinny people that look like they are anorexic. I think that the poet was trying to tell us that no body’s perfect. I like how the poet used princesses because everyone thinks that princesses are perfect and their ‘role model’. I also liked your drawing that you made. Good job!

I think that this poem is about what the princesses would look like in a fairy tail that revolved around obesity. Each princess is given a funny name that has to do with being fat or large. I think the author is really trying to put each and every princess into perspective. Hes saying that this is what is would be like, do people still think of the princesses the same?

You did a great job to create an analysis of the poem, I like how you added the photo of what I suppose is a larger version of snow white, and talked about it. I like how you added the relation to something/ or real type of people in real life. The extent fulness of the analytic descriptions really helped show the inner meaning of the poem. Good job overall.

I can really connect to when you were talking about Journey to Jo’burg, when you were explaining how you felt happy, or sad, or just confused. I really liked how you linked the books to their websites (like I did.) I enjoyed how you wrote about how homosexual people are normal, and kind. I liked how you included the fact that one of the chapters in Journey to Jo’burg is real. Your reflection is really good, cause I can connect to many points you made. The points you made were true, and I found that I could relate to them. There were only a few grammatical mistakes, and one misuse of the word ‘learnt.’

You have identified some very good points about being a communicator, and I think you have chosen an apt one to describe yourself in the English classroom. You might like to read Akari’s post as she also discusses being a communicator. Your contributions in class are often thoughtful and insightful, and help other people think differently about issues.
