I think that I got my values from my favorite sport, football. I had learned a lot of things through out playing football, and I am able to enjoy it. I had learned a lot of things from football. One of them was reading books written by football players, these books really had affected me. Even though I do have a short time of my football life, I was able to think about how to be a professional, and how they think about their life, and football. I got a lot of my ideas from these books. Also I was able to get my values from my coach. I always make mistakes in the game and each time my coach has an advice ready for me. And I also get advices from my dad that make me think of myself that makes my values. My dad’s advice includes his own advice and also advices he got from football magazines and books that were written by football players.
My family also gives me a think of values. I am always told I have to clean my room, put your bag back to your room and others that show me that I am a unorganized. And my mom always tells me that little things affect your play and your mental.
My values: Every little helps, Perseverance leads to success, Practice makes perfect, Speed, Power, success, Quality, Challenge, Reliability, openness, enjoyment, accuracy, Family feeling, Strength, Improvement, and positive. I would like to live with these values and get more experience and have more values.

1 Response to “Values”
I found it very interesting to read about how football shapes your values. You have thought carefully about this topic and I enjoyed reading your post. You have identified people and experiences that affect what you believe and how you act. Do you apply these values off the pitch as well as on the pitch? I like reading footballers biographies and it does make you think about how you would act if you were a professional football player. Thanks for this reflection Shin.
