In drama this year we had a lot of exciting days. We had the LAMDA (The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) exam, at the beginning of the school year we had our improvisation unit, we did dance performances in front of the class, and now we are working on poetry reading.
During these exciting events we nearly never had any classes, because we often had school holidays on Fridays. We also had the big Tohoku earthquake which happened during our drama class. But other then that we had time for all the exciting events.
The challenging bits this year about drama was the LAMDA exam because my English isn’t that good and I had quite a hard time deciding on a topic that I was going to talk about. Thinking about what I was going to write about my topic that I chose was also a challenging bit for me.
I found that the improv unit was the easiest unit to me because during this unit we played some Theater sports games. These games were much fun. The types of games we played were based on drama and helped to improve our drama skills. These games that we played I thought, were easy to play and to understand the rules. Some of the games we played were also games that I knew pretty well like “Grandma’s footsteps”.
During the dance unit I was still in Germany because of the Fukushima / earthquake situation.
The poetry reading we are still doing it at the moment. So I cannot write a refection about it
.
That was the end of the year refection and I am looking forward to seventh grade drama lessons. See you next year.
