Child Labor Reflection

Part I
- What would you improve about your presentation?
For my presentation I want to improve on making my presentation a bit longer because the required amount of time I think was about 7~8  minutes long but my presentation was only 3:35 minutes long so this is one thing that I want to improve on. I also think I should have been a bit more confident when I presented the presentation to the class with a clear and louder voice. I think I could have been more descriptive with my answers during the presentation and I think the presentation should have been more like a conversation between the two people.
-Would you ask any other questions or bring up any other arguments?
Yes I do have some questions for the opposing team or groups’ people of the ‘not-against child labor group’ .
-When you watch the video,do you think you were persuasive? Why were you able to persuade the audience (language, tone, evidence?)
During the presentation I was the lawyer so I couldn’t be as persuasive as being the campaigner or the victim. But, I think I was persuasive enough but not too persuasive. I think I could have used more tone and language more strongly. I didn’t have any evidence because I was the lawyer during the presentation so I did not have as much evidence as my partner, Sophie.
- Please include your link to at least two of the primary sources you used to get your evidence. What do you think was the advantage of usig primary sources? (sources written at the time of the Industrial Revolution).
I have 2 links for getting the evidence.

Part II
- In 2-3 sentences explain the argument for child labor in the Industrial Revolution.
The children could work and give the money to the parents. Also, the parents can buy many things for living with the money that the children gets paid.  Also, when the children become parents they can get their own job and their kids do not have to work and they can get education.
- In 2-3 sentences explain the argument against child labor in the Industrial Revolution.
The children have to work for a long time and get paid very little. Also, the children that are laboring can not get education.
Also, the care and treatment during the time the children are working is very bad.
- Do you think England would have industrialized as quickly without child labor? Why or why not?
I think England would not have industrialized as quickly without  child labor because the children would work for long hours and get paid very little with a lot of energy to get the job done. Also, the children have little hands and fingers that would be more capable of fitting into the machines in the factories. But,my personal opinion is that child labor is a bad idea because it is very cruel and devastating. Children working in factories can not get education which is bad for their future and they do not get good care and treatment at the factories. Even though the idea of children working in factories may help support the life of families I do not think child labor should happen. Without child labor England would not have industrialized as quickly as it did.
This is my video with Sophie for my child labor presentation. Please enjoy!
