During this unit, we looked at different tutorials that were made to show, teach or demonstrate how to do something. I commented on few of my friends’ posts; Akari and Iruka on how they thought was good and bad about the tutorial they have chosen.

I learned in Akari’s tutorial, I found out that I could draw a cat by imagining some of the parts as something else. This makes it better most of the time for the viewer, because they can remember it that way. They also put an ‘extra’ (-the bowl with the already-eaten-fish on it) which was useful, as it made the picture more cuter.
In Iruka’s tutorial, I learned that if I add details, it makes it better/easier for the viewer. I think the tutorial Iruka chose was a great choice, as it had voice and text, but it also gave advice, and opinions, but also options for the viewer to choose from. Most of the advice was very useful, in fact the options they gave the viewers were options I didn’t think of. I thought the creator of that tutorial was mostly a thinker, but also open-minded.

During this unit ‘Investigate’, I learned that most of the tutorials that helps people make their tutorials, had short, but interesting content, and ones that won’t confuse the viewers. Also, the tutorials that were good, were ones with voice to listen to, but on the same time, short text on the page, mentioning/explaining that step. I can use what I have learned to make a great tutorial by making sure my tutorials are short, interesting, easy and understandable.

I think if my tutorial was too long, I can either cut off parts that are not important, or fast-forward some parts that repeat something over, or parts that are less important. Also, I could also have my voice on instead of only text.
