The empires now effect us today because of their helping other countries. Because empires ruled countries, and countries got ruled, I think the people today know the right and wrong things to do. This makes different things for today, better. When empires rule countries, culture, language, food, laws, religion of empires effects us. The empires now help their own country but also countries that suffers from poverty. Usually the colonizer country wants the (raw) materials that the colonized country has/ owned. On the other hand, negative things can happen to both of the countries. If the people now know the things that they can improve from the people in the past, I think the government, economy and many other different systems can change to keep on improving.
