MYP Unit Question: How do we visually communicate a concept or theme?

Significant Concept: Collage/cut paper can be used to create and express meaning, statement, memory or story.

My final paper cut collage

Over a couple of weeks, war were doing a task of producing our collage, using papers that we either cut or torn them into pieces. We were producing the collage from the line drawing we produced in the last unit.

In the very first lesson of paper cuts, we were having a look at different arts made with paper cuts. Our task was to make a picture using little paper cuts. Then, we had to start our project, making  a collage, getting ideas from the last project.

I think my strength in this project was making the background, the Mount Fuji, the sky, and the mountains. I used little paper cuts to make each sections detailed. On the other hand, my weakness in this project was making the midground. The The Aoki-lake was rough, as if I was doing a draft.

Overall, I think my collage was successful since I made the foreground (the sand) and the background really detailed than what I thought of.
