What kind of Learner Profile did I use in Hakuba

Throughout this field study in Hakuba, I demonstrated some learner profiles in a situation.

Here are some examples of how I think I used these learner profiles:

I used Risk-taker when I was rock climbing, because I hadn’t experienced it in my life before.

I used Communicator when my roommates and I were assembling the parts to make our tent, and when I was communicating with mycanoeing group (Lucas, Kazuki, and I).

I used Knowledgeable when I was using compass in the treasure orienteering since the helper told our orienteering group how to use the arrows in the compass.

To finalize this, I also used more learner profiles at Hakuba.

Nature in Nagano Prefecture

The Nature in Nagano was so beautiful! I noticed some trees of attractive tinted autumn leaves which were red, yellow, or reddish orange. I also spotted some ground springs for instance, Hime-river source ground spring and Matsu-river source ground spring. Besides, the Aokiko lake was transparent that we could see the bottom of the lake clearly.

I had a chance of seeing a tree which had a nail mark of a wild boar! I was so satisfied of seeing this. Comparing to the nature in Yokohama, I loved Hakuba better!

When I was in the bus making one way to Hakuba, I saw Suwa lake which was much larger than I thought, and mountains in Yamanashi prefecture which were still green.

My Favorite Activity in Hakuba

My favorite activity in Hakuba was Mountain Biking, because I never did it before. There were two groups; one was easy and one was hard. I was in the hard group since I experienced biking a lot before. Of the fact that, the hard course of the mountain bike was really hard such as rocky and slippery paths, steep uphills and downhills. But still on that day, this activity was the best. I would not forget this event ever in my life!
