In grade 7, we had to make a collage using our picture from the previous unit. This unit was really fun to do but yet it was a really challenging one as well.

The most challenging part of this unit was finding the perfect colors for each part. The hardest part was the sky and the ocean. I had to use different types of blues so that the picture can have different types of blues but still look good. The easy part of this unit was sticking the paper on. Even though sticking paper onto the paper might seem easy its not that simple. First, you get glue all over your fingers which is pretty annoying but also you have to think where will the colors go. I sometimes thought to myself, ‘will this color look better if it goes there?’ ‘How will it look if I put this color here.’ That is what I think when I glue my papers.

Overall I was really proud of my overall look of my collage but there are some things that I wish I could of done better. If I can do this collage again, I will want to use different types of techniques that are not just sticking teared paper but maybe add a little bit of a different pattern or maybe adding different materials to the pictures that are not paper for example cloth.

Overall I really enjoyed this unit and I am happy with my overall look of my collage
