Kaguya-Hime storytelling performance
I think I preformed well, but I think I could have done better. I was a little quite for my first performance, because I was nervous. For my seconde performance I think was louder, and less nervous. My third performance was okay, but I could of been louder and more of my character; a bamboo tree.
I think the best performance was the second one my group and I did. We were less nervous. I think I spoke louder and much more clear, than my first performance. I don’t think are third performance was good because, it was the third performance and we just wanted to get it over with. We kind-of rushed the performance a little bit.
It was quite hard being a bamboo tree all the time because I don’t know how a bamboo talks, because they don’t talk. It was hard to think of what a bamboo would talk like and act like. To be a bamboo tree, I had to guess how it would act and talk. It was quite hard because I had no idea, but when I got the movements I could do I just added voice. I don’t think I was a great bamboo tree because my voice didn’t really change, I used my normal voice. I could have used a higher pitched voice or a lower pitched voice. In my performance I didn’t have much expression and kept the same face through out the whole thing. For a bamboo tree I didn’t really know which expression to use, so it was harder.
I think my achievements were acting like a bamboo tree, but I didn’t do well with the expressions I used. I had my arms up, not by my side. If I just stood there I wouldn’t of looked like anything, I would have looked my a person. I think I also did narrating well, and saying the information I needed to say. One time I forgot my line and had a blank face, and there was a pause because I was trying to remember it.
I think Jake’s, Harrison’s, Oliver’s and Aki’s group was the most successful. I only saw their performance once, but they did a really good job, especially Jake. His acting was really good, and he involved the children. He didn’t have a straight face, he used different expressions that were very interesting. I only think Harri’s acting was good, his expressions were good and he used them in the right places. Overall their performance was funny and very entertaining to watch.
