Investigating Mining Reflection
In Science class, we had a assesment on investigating mining. We had to make groups of 2 and get a one rock to separate the iron and salt.
The areas that I thought I’ve done well is how I organized my results and my procedure. Although I did not use much of scientific language but I thought it was very nice to have a quick description of safety rules. Also how I showed my results was neat because I used table, pie graph and bar graph but, for not looking through my work I had miss calculation that my result and one of my graph didn’t match (pie chart).
The areas that I need to improve is to use more scientific language, for example water (water+salt) could of been said solution and mixed – dissolve. Other areas that I want to improve is to ALWAYS check if the graph matches with the results because for not checking back my graph didn’t match with my result. Also never forget to list the safety equipments because I forgot to write safety goggles in my equipment list so it will be unsafe when the solution is evaporating because some of the salts may leap out.
