Less interesting than a screaming dog (Tech-Resource Reflection)
So, yay!!! I’m back
(Ok, it might turn in to a boo after writing 2500 words <I’m looking forward for a new record here
> ) So I’ll go back to the manual way of doing it, which is, in case you don’t know, it means writing out all the questions and answering them one by one. (Which is, for starters, a very very very very very very easy way to write a reflection.)
So here we go
1. Which applications do you think will be best to create a trailer? Why?
I think that either iMovie or Screenflow might be good because I think that these applications are perhaps more easier to get used to (if you are supposed to do all this manually and the fact that every thing must all your work.) and it would be perhaps better to do the project with the applications you are (already) more used to it compared to the tools that you’re still not sure how to work it such as Adobe premiere. I think that these applications full-fill both the criteria (which is: It needs to be easier and time efficient) listed.
2. Which applications do you think will be the least useful for creating a book trailer? Why?
I think that it would be either Final Cut X or Adobe Premiere because for Final Cut X, you would need to buy the application, which in my case, would have no real use after using it for this project, so I don’t think that would be any use. Also, I think learning to use Premiere would take quite a long time, but I don’t think I have enough time for it so I don’t think I can manage to work with the two applications listed above. (sadly)
3. Do you already feel confident about using the application? If not how much will you need to learn?
Yes I am, since that is one of the reasons why I had chosen this application. I am sure that I am pretty confident since I had done a few projects with it, and had seen success in them. Also, I think that iMovie is very easy to handle, without having to watch tutorials and it is already very well known, so it would be easy to get help from the people around you if you are stuck.
If I were to find something I want to learn, I want to learn how to make your movie or screen attraction more fluently, and how to create your own theme for the movie (if it is possible..)
4. Do you think it makes more sense to choose an application and then start designing, or to design your trailer first and then choose an application to make it? Explain.
I think that you would need to choose an application and then start designing because you would need to be well aware of what is available and what can be done with the given tools. For example, I think it is the same thing as buying the battery for the machine before you find out the size you need. So I think that it would be easier to plan for what you have got more than to go over the boundary or go a completely different direction.
Thank you so much for reading. (This was <sadly> only 599 words, but wait for my next post
Mwahahahaha…)
OMG, look at the pro-ly screaming dog… (See, I told you that this was more interesting
)
