It's actually very complex in this full of activity life to listen news on Television, so I simply use internet for that purpose, and take the most up-to-date information.

I tend to disagree. My initial interpretation of the poem was almost opposite in fact. I saw the original "shark" as productive members of society and the progressively smaller sharks as reliant people who's life depends on that of the shark. This sequence represents the queer pyramid of society where all the efforts of every productive member go to sustaining the least productive. "The top beneath all else," said to me that the least productive was sustained by all those more productive members below it. I thought the poem spoke powerfully of the self-perpetuating dilemma in society. If the tiniest fish must do nothing for itself then it shall not do anything for itself. The great shark swims on through the ocean, burdened by the clingers-on but will do nothing about them. They will never become independent and they will never become a shark. I earnestly appreciated your alternate view of the poem and it gave me a new perspective indeed.

This poem creates a visualization of a pyramid of aquatic creatures. I believe that the lyrics try to portray that people may seem smaller or lesser than others, but they all play valuable roles.

I think the poem is a metaphor. I think it means that the little sharks hangin around the big shark to be important or helpful this is kind of like in life when people hang around popular kids to be more important.

I agree with your anilization of this poem. At first it is a little confusing but when you go back and read it a second time you understand how this is about people. I know a lot of people who act like remoras and just cling on and take credit for the work. Great analyzing (:

This poem is about a super tiny sucker shark. There is a shark on a shark on a shark. The line "(moron, idiot, imbecile, nincompoop)" is very weird and I have no idea how it is related unless its symbolic for a nincompoop mooches off an imbecile and an imbecile an idiot and an idiot a moron

When I first read this poem I thought it was talking about how sharks eat each other in their mothers wombs... And how one shark was so small he wasn't even a meal fit for another unborn shark. Your interpretation is way better.

It sounds like it is probably speaking about the fish that follows the shark, and helps it,, and because of the fact that it just follows the shark, it really has no sort of control in its life whatsoever.
