What happens when one country controls another?

Lots of things may happen when a country controls another. They may colonize, and make a larger country. This increases the population, which mean there will be more military. Then, this country will increase its power and now fight with other countries. The more the country wins, its power and population increases, and spreads its power. Soon the land will be increased, and if the countries are successful their land might grow overseas and totally different regions.

One country may share their cultures, for example beliefs, religions, architecture, clothing, food, language, and others. Spreading the cultures help the country get larger and increase its power. For example, in Quebec and other regions in Canada, and some parts of Africa are French-speaking countries/cities.

The 2 countries may trade goods to each other, when a country controls another. It is because if trade is occurred, you can spread culture just like I mentioned before.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of being an empire?

If an Empire has strong military, they will be able to conquer other countries, other Empires, such and such. For instance, Great Britain had strong militaries, so they had conquered parts of the world and increased its power. Also, successful Empires will gain lots of money (gold) and increase its power as well. Another advantage, is about penal colonies. For example, the British, French and other colonial empires had heavily used North America and other parts of the world to increase its power. It goes back to gold, but if an Empire gains gold, weapons will be easier to obtain, so it will be beneficial for the Empire with more weapons/gold in battles and conflicts.

On the other part, there are some disadvantages. If I am an Emperor, and my empire had conquered a lot of parts in the world, and gained lots of gold. Plus, my military is strong. There are no inconvenience towards the citizens and my family, myself’s life. If you hear this, it would just be perfect. Now I have one thought in my mind. Conflicts, and basically assassination. Well, if the military is equipped by very strong weapons, and what if they have some concerns towards me? (Emperor) They might try to assassinate me. One more possible idea, is assassination by the Imperial family. Suppose there is a Imperial Palace, and all the people in the family lives in the palace. If someone wants to be the Emperor/Empress, someone might have an idea to kill me and be the Emperor/Empress. In Japan, there was a Daimyou called Hideyoshi Toyotomi, and he did an action called Katanagari. If I just translate this to Japanese, this means “hunting for swords”. Hideyoshi has prevented assassination by taking away weapons and things that may become weapons from peasants, and people who may have a thought of assassination. This is an example of prevention. So there are some ways of preventing the disadvantages of being and Empire.

What are the advantages and disadvantages of being a colony?

The advantage of a colony, is that the colony is protected by the colonizer, so you would not be attacked by other countries. If you are protected, there will be no danger, and the colony will be able be safe.

Well, the disadvantage is that you need to follow the rules of the colonizer, and the colony is weaker in political power. So it means the colony has to do what the colonizer says, so this is the major disadvantage of being a colony.

7 Rules of WILD MIND (Free Writing) – Natalie Goldberg

1. Keep your hand moving.

2. Lose Control *except keep your Appropriate for school filter ON

3. Be Specific

4. Don’t think

5. Don’t worry about spelling, grammar or punctuation.

6. You are free to write the worst junk in the universe

7. Go for the jugular Go for the kill.

If you feel like you are not really saying anything and want to get deeper, try writing “What I really want to say is..” and then keep going.

Trying WILD MIND

It was really inconvenient where I could not think what I wanted to write, so I had to write fillers such as “um”. I couldn’t write what I wanted to, and it ended up as a story that didn’t even make sense. But actually, it was very thrilling and it was really enjoyable.

Why is language powerful

Why is Language powerful?

Why is language powerful? What kind of power are there in language? Like superman? Like laser beams crushing through the world? No. But a power that is a lot more powerful.

Language has a lot of power. It can prevent large problems. Language has the power to stop wars. Language can stop cruel issues.

Language is to communicate with others. Communicate, and your life will definitely be better. More enjoyable. More peace.

Language is to share thoughts and ideas. What if the U.S. says they are going to throw a bomb into Japan? What can prevent it? Language has the power to prevent it.

Sadly, language is not only powerful in good ways. Language is used to hurt feelings. Why can people say those words or that type of language? Are they just lazy? Or hatred? Probably they don’t know the power of language, and they are using it the wrong way.

Now I have finished typing my knowledge about how language is powerful. Of course, there are tons of more reasons why language is powerful. Do you have any opinions or ideas? Perhaps you do!
