Science Poster Reflection

I think my poster was eye-catching, because perhaps the skeleton mark caught their attentions. I also made the atomic number and the symbol of the element standout, to emphasize the element Arsenic. For the question, I used some of the predictable FAQ’s for the element, and what people really want to know a about the element. I used some scientific terms such as metalloid etc.

Digital Citizenship Week

This week, we had a week called “Digital Citizenship Week”. The purpose was to review and learn how we handle technology, such as our computers, especially because YIS is currently in the One-to-one program. Also, being balanced and spending your time non-electronically as well. In the week, first we estimated the amount of hours the 7th Grade and the whole MS spends on their electronic devices for 3 days. We watched a video in English class about the use of electronic devices, which is embedded on the bottom of the blog post. We had a activity with Mr. Clark, which was to choose one person who you thought was balanced, in terms of managing time well. I chose my friend Kento, because first of all even though he is a genius in technology, he is also very athletic. He can judge if it is the right time to play outside and play sports, or to play inside to enjoy games and do something on the computer.

Overall, for me this week was very effective. It is because I was able to understand that I was unbalanced. Now I think I know a little more about managing time, and how to stay more balanced than usual.
