hheyyaa:) I really liked your interpretation of the poem. I didn't think about the way it could relate to the author. I thought you had some really good comparisons. As you said while you were presenting that most people don't look clearly at the other meanings and I agree, because I didn't think that there were any other interpretations. While you were presenting you were really good at captivating your audiences attention and you had good modulation when you spoke. I liked your statement about movies and how they show bats as evil animals and then you supported it with that comment about your sister not being able to sleep that night. over all i thought you did a really good ^_^ good jobbbbb:))))

Your explanation of the poem is interesting overall good. Your idea of someone not being sociable and hides in the house because they thought they have embarrassed themselves is interesting and I thought is a perfect idea. Without reading the poem, your description gives be an idea of what the poem is about and could also make people who are reading your interpretation, want to read the poem. So in the end, I think you have understood this poem clearly and it is very simple. Good job Neil!

Your presentation was very in depth especially considering how little there was of the actual poem. I liked how you not only included subjective facts but also complete facts. If I had to tell you what I would change, I would summarise some things such as your opinions.

When I read the poem myself, I understood what you meant by a more 'obvious' meaning and a more in-depth kind of meaning. Overall great analysis and a well done informative presentation.

This poem is very short but I think you explained your interpretation of this poem detailed and well written. I agree with you that Theodore Roethke is a shy and not very sociable person. Without reading this post, you can get the idea by reading the second line where bat likes the dark attic, it shows that the poet is closed in do not like to talk with people and also why would he write a poem about bat? When I think about bat it is very lonely and dark animal, maybe the poet is describing himself as a bat.
Overall, I think you understood this poem clearly and it is very simple but you went more deep into the poem.

I think you have explained your thoughts very well and in depth. I can see that you have clearly understood the poem and I can see that you have probably understood what the author is like of what the author is like.

Overall, I think you have explained the poem in really good detail.

Overall I think this is good. I like how you described the poem, because it had good reasons and examples. I also like how you separated each content. I also think that you were effective on your explainations. lt was well structured. However, I think you could have described the bat more deeply because your description was pretty short. I think you did good and as a reader, I think this is understandable. What I really liked was that you had many examples which made me think as you said. It was good that you divided your explanations into interpretations. It was well organized also.

Hi Neil,
You performed well in not only your practical sessions but also in your reflective piece. You used strategy and thought to improve on your ability and you managed success well.
Nice work,

Hi Neil,
I agree with your self assessment. Your latter answers were particularly impressive and very well put. In class, I suggest you use your knowledge and confidence with sport to communicate well with your team mates and help them become better. Good luck with that.
