From our experiment we have found out that more energy is used when you have a lot of tabs open and when you are playing computer games. We have also discovered that streaming online videos takes up the least battery power. We found that surprising because when you stream from places such as youtube there are a lot of advertisements and many pictures on the scream as well as the video playing. On my computer I had all the tabs open, I went from 64% battery power to 51% battery power in only a matter of 15 minutes. When you are on your computer I suggest that you don’t have so many tabs open and that you don’t play games on your computer. I think that this experiment was very interesting, as I have found out a lot about how different things can run down your battery.
Nice graph and excellent analysis Mia. I was surprised that tabs used up as much power as they did; after seeing everyone’s results I’ll be trying to reduce the number of tabs open when I’m running on battery. It would be good to show what units you have used for the Y axis.
