1.This cafe is also known as the oldest restaurant in Paris. The cafe was founded in 1686 by Sicilian Francesco Procopio dei Coltelli. The Café Procope is famous for gentlemen gathering to drink coffee and have sorbet. The Cafe has had many famous visitors. The cafe was like a formal tavern, it served exotic drinks that were usually from taverns. The food served is very warm. The cafe soon developed a nickname as the ‘theatrical’ cafe, for it is well known for there comedy acts and plays preformed.

2. Famous people that visited the cafe procope; Benjamin Franklin, John Paul Jonesand, Thomas Jefferson and Alexander von Humboldt.

3. The cafe procope was a very popular place. It served some of the best foods and beverages. They were mostly foods that were found in a tavern restaurant but have been presented in a formal way. The cafe had many gentlemen that would gather to drink coffee and have sorbet.

C. There are two places that I really want to go to in Paris, the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysees. The two places are both very architectural and they are very famous. The Champs-Elysees is built in the middle of an intersection and you have to take an under ground tunnel to get to it. With both of the buildings, the view at the top is amazing! Even though the Eiffel Tower is the tallest building in France and is very well known, I would like to see the Champs-Elysees more because of is history behind it.

D. If I designed a city I would want to keep some of the historical monuments of Paris, like the Champs-Elysees, The national Opera of Paris, Le louvre and things like that. I would want to keep thought things because the monuments and the museum have a lot of historical meanings. If people visited the city there would be a lot to look at. I think that my city would be old fashioned and very few skyscrapers, to keep it more mellow and more enjoyable.

During our French classes we have been studying ‘Sports et Passe-Temps é Québec’. We have gone over new vocabulary, and have studied ways to make your sentence more complex. I have been working on a brochure during class and at home, trying to make more complex and interesting sentences and researching more about our sports. During this unit I have a broader understanding of the French language and I have learned more about making sentences and grammar.

2. We have been studying sports in our French class, and recently we have all participated in cross country. Cross country took place on November 10th this year and we have all been working very hard up to the day so we could run the 2 laps of Negishi park. Our P.E. department organized that 4 children from Ishinomaki come to our school to run the marathon with us. Sadly I did not personally get to meet any of the children but I felt that it was a great way to start interacting with the school. I felt that it made the day more lively and it helped me preform better because of all the energy.

3. The national sport of England is Football. Football is commonly played on fields in stadiums. Though due to the weather conditions in England, football is only played for some part of the year. In England the weather is not very pleasant for most of the year, especially in the winter when football season is off. Football is played in the spring all the way through till the start of winter. The weather conditions in England make it hard for the players to play for the temperature can go down to 0 degrees and is snowing for most of the time. That is why the sport is only played for a certain amount of time.

4. During this unit I have learned a lot about the French language but I do think I could have learned more during my class time. I think that I could have payed more attention during class and I could have used my class time more productively than I did during this unit. I think that I work best when I don’t get distracted by people around me, I find that it is a really hard working environment a lot of the times. I also work better when I listen to music because you don’t get distracted by the people around you. I think that I could have had better understanding of the subject but due to my lack of listening I feel that I could have learnt more.

Au Printemps et en Automne, je joue au hockey trois par semaine. Je joue au hockey en la plue et quand il est soleil. Je joue au hockey avec mes amis sur l’ecole et á l’YC&AC. J’aime jouer au hockey c’est passionate.

En Été, je joue au football de temps en temps. Je joue au football quand il fait du soleil, moi je n’aime pas á jouer sous la plue. Je joue au football avec mes aims á l’YC&AC. J’aime jouer au football c’est intéressant maid je préféfre jouer au hockey.

Au Printemps, je joue au basket deux frois par semaine. J’aime jouer au basketball quand le temps est agéable. Je joue au basket avec mes amis á l’école  et á la YC&AC. J’aime jouer au basket, c’est génial!

En Automne et en été je joue au volleyball. Je joue trois fois par semaine. Je joue quand il fait soleil. Je joue au volleyball avec mes aimes á l’école et á l’YC&AC. Volleyball est mon sport préféré et je fun!

Mon sport préféré est Frank Lampard. Il joue au foot pur Chelsea club de football. Frank Lampard comme vice-captaine avec John Terry. J’aime Frank Lampard, parce que je l’ai vu jouer en live, et parce qu’il est au grand joueur de football.

Le sport national de England est le football. Le football est joue partout en England. Il ya des équipes sont Manchester United, Chelsea, Liver Pool, Arsenal, Manchester City, et New Castle.

Moi j’aime Zinedine Zindane parce que, Zindedine Zindane á joué pour le Real Madrid. Zinedine est un joueur de football français à la retraite. Zinedine rejoint une ligue junior alors qu’il n’avait que 10 et puis quand 18 montre trouvée par Jean Varraud scouts. J’aime Zinedine parce qu’il est une grande inspiration pour tous les joueurs de football et certainement quelqu’un à admirer.
