A trip to Australia

I once went on a trip to Australia in December 2009 with my family. During the trip, I demostrated some of the Learner Profile.

I used: Communicator, by showing my grandma how to make a call on her cell phone.

I used: Thinker, when I was doing a tricky crossword puzzle.

I used: Risk-Taker, when I played the piano in front of the whole family.

I used: Knowledgeable, when I showed my granddad solved some maths problems.

And I also used: Balanced, when I ate a nice, healthy balanced diet.

Using the Learner Profile is very important.

My Field Studies Prediction

Next week, grade 6, and I will be going to field studies. I am going to make a prediction for what I think will happen at the trip.

Here is a satellite image of where we will be going.

I expect that the field trip will be very fun enjoyable. I think that I will learn and do lots of new outdoor activities and new skills. I also expect that I will make new friends. I think the best part of the field trip will be riding the hot-air balloon. It will be a new experience for me, so I’m greatly looking forward to it. I expect that the canoeing and rock-climbing will be fun as well. I think that I will learn lots and lots of outdoor skills. I will learn how to cook Indian Curry, since we will be making our first dinner ourselves. I will also learn to socialize better, and make new friends. I am really looking forward to field studies.
