Art Reflection

The Process I went through was most important. I first researched other artists line techniques. For example, Vincent Van Gogh. I looked at his line drawings, and I took some of his techniques, and incorporated them into my plan drawings which I did in my developmental workbook. I did my first drawing, and I tried to add techniques such as stippling and cross-hatching. I looked at my drawing, and checked to see if those particular techniques were appropriate.  When I got to my final drawing, I used the rule of thirds to to see if my drawing looked balanced. I had a boat in my drawing, and I thought that the boat would look better on the side of the page, instead of it being in the middle. I added even more line techniques into my drawing. I used a sharpie which had a thin point and a thicker point so I could use the finer point to add smaller details.

From the beginning to the end, I felt that I was improving. For example, when I did my first drawing, I used curved lines for my sky, but then when I saw more line techniques, I thought that stippling would make the sky look better and more effective. When I placed objects onto my page, I thought carefully to see what would look better. I also tried to make my drawing look 3-D and I did this by adding shadows and darker patches at certain places in the drawing. To see if my drawing looked natural or not, I would stop drawing, and stand back, and see if the drawing made sense, and that it wasn’t confusing for the viewer.

I think the best way to improve artistic processes is the planning. The planning is most important because then you get the real idea for what techniques to use. I learned that time management was very important because I had to do a lot in quite a short time so I had to work productively and efficiently.

Overall, I thought that this was a fun project but also challenging. I learned many new techniques in the process, and I leaned that you had to be patient when trying out new techniques because sometimes, you can’t exactly get the one which looks the very best. But, I enjoyed this project and I was happy with my completed project.

My Photos:

I edited these photos, overlapped some, and then I made one big picture. Here it is.

My Spanish Poem

Here is a short poem I made in Spanish class.

La Primavera
By George Wood

La primavera es hermosa
Las flores
Brilliandas en el cielo
Me siento joven
Me gusta la primavera.

Me gustaría correr
El viento me lleva
En el cielo
Rojo y amarillo
Me gusta la primavera.

Goals

Here are my goals:

Goals

I need to improve on communication because then I will be able to know what to do and not leave everything to the last minute, and also if I am a good communicator, I will be able to tell other people about what to do, and I will be able to help other people.

School Values

I have decided to work on being Peaceful in our Intentions.
This is important because being peaceful allows you to have more friends, and also then you are creating a peaceful, and nice learning environment which is especially important in schools. So, for this semester, I think that working on this particular goal will be the most beneficial to me and to other students in the school.
