Everyone,
Our class did a trial on child labor. It was about whether child labor should be stopped, or if it should continue. This was set in the 1700′s during the industrial revolution. I was on the side where child labor should be stopped. I was a Factory Owner called Thomas Hardy, and my partner Neil, was my lawyer. We came up with questions and answers.
Here is our part in the trial.

I thought we did a good job, and we covered why child labor was a bad thing. We made sure that our Q and A’s were appropriate, and we added lots of examples of how children got hurt, or the stress it caused children. I think we could’ve added more detail, and that we should have added more questions, but overall I think we did a good job. I also think that putting on a British accent was a good thing because it made the trial look more real, and that it was set in England.
I think I was persuasive in the video because I added emphasis on certain words which stated how bad child labor was.

England would not have industrialized as much without children. For it was the children who worked, and slaved away everyday. For it was the children who got injured and hurt by working over 14 hours a day. So the children were one of the main parts in the industrial revolution in England.
P.S Fartfordshire is a fake name by the way which I made up.
Thanks,
George
