Today In Music class we were assigned  to go through 50 albums and choose our top 5. Please read what I though of the song.

Artist: Frank ocean, ‘nostalgia, ULTRA’ SONG: Songs for women.  I never listen to music like this. I like It because It has a different range of ways that they sing. At the start It sounds like a rap and In the middle around the chuors It sounds more like R&B [If that Is what It Is called]. The music Has some kind of electrical beat That makes you want to snap your fingers and dance.

Artist(S): Kanye west and Jay-Z ‘watch the throne’ Song: Otis. As I sad before there  Is a variety of different types of singing. In the background, throughout the song, there Is some one singing something over and over again. It  matches the beat so thats why I think Its good. The music Is just a simple beat and at the choirs some more Instruments come In. I like It when Its a simple beat because then you can focus on what the singer Is saying.

Artist: Radiohead, ‘The King Of Limbs’    Songs: Separator.  The drums have a really cool beat that makes you want to dance. When I hear a beat that usually come from drums I always want to dance. I realized that throughout the song the music and notes didn’t really change. At the bridge I think that that was the only time there was a different beat . The notes did change bit somehow I could still see that there was the same beat.  I could tell that there was some kind of pattern.

Artist: The Roots, ‘undone’ .   Song: Make My. The beat Is once again simple. I think that it Is kind of slow so not the song that I would choose to listen to. I kind of like this song because of electron beat. I also like the guitar. You can barley hear the guitar but when you can It fits In with the rest of the music really well. My favorite part was the ending because I liked when there was a ding and it continued for about twenty seconds still fading out.

Artist: Sonny Rollins, ‘Road Shows, Vol.2′           Song: Sonnymoon for two. I think that the saxophone stands out the most. The music sounds like jazz. I like It because It sounds smooth, I think that In the background Is the typical drum beat. The music made me feel really lite and i kind of felt like I was the only one In the room.
