Evaluate Reflection
This was are last Unit so this is are last reflection. Sense this was our last we made it a video. Hope you enjoy.

Tech Create Reflection
For my 6th Grade tech class we were asked to make a video tutorial. I did mine to relate with blogs because we use them so much at our school. I learned a lot about filming techniques and to talk in a enthusiastic voice to not bore the viewer.
I had never made a tutorial before, and I found it interesting to learn how much goes into one and how hard it is to make one. It needs multiple things like a simple, descriptive, clear voice, and more than one example just to make it interesting and useful.
I feel my finished tutorial turned out OK. I wish I could have made my tutorial a bit simpler and faster but this was difficult, because my computer was really laggy that day. I think I made it easy to understand and I think people would remember it because I gave more than one way to do it.
I thought the hardest part of making my tutorial was speaking and editing. I found it hard to speak was because i was a little nervous and the reason I thought editing was hard was because I found it hard to find the right music and end it at the right time. I also had to edit some portions of the tutorial to make my voice louder at times.
I feel my tutorial meets all the criteria that we were given except for the following: examples, not distracting, link back, subtitles and languages. I did not use comparative examples because I was describing a very specific topic. My audio was a bit distracting, because I recorded it in the classroom and you can hear some background noise. I did not provide a direct link back to my blog in the tutorial, however, the tutorial was done on my blog. I also did not have subtitles and other languages, because this would have been very difficult for me.
I think I could create a better tutotial if I learned how to use iMovie better, as some of the other tutorials that I watched made use of more complex transitions. Another tutorial I watched made use of a chalkboard application that was good and the graphic was done without any keyboard typing noise.
In the analyze step of this project I watched Peter’s tutorial and Connor’s tutorial. From Peter’s tutorial I learned the importance of speaking with clear voice and providing a clear picture that is easy to follow. From Connors tutorial I learned that an interesting application, such as the chalkboard that he used, can make the tutorial more interesting to watch.
I think this was a good unit because it was very fun to make the tutorial. It can also be very useful later on for, lets say, if you are a teacher. I now know what is supposed to be in a tutorial and the best way to make it. I also have a good idea of what the viewer is looking for in a good tutorial. All in all I really enjoyed this unit and Ii think it was a great learning experience.
Teachers of The Future Investigate Reflection
Me and my class have been working around with tutorials we learned how to make a good one thats attractive and how to find good tutorials. This is my reflection on it.
I watched two of my friends tutorials one was Tobi’s and one was Conner’s. Todi’s was very good and i think i learned a lot about video posting becuase it was very good and it was helpful. i think he did really well because e couse a good topic and a good video. Conner’s video was very good because it was an awesome idea and was a very well tutorial with great walk thoughts.
I learned that its good to think before about what goes wrong and pick a good topic. i also learned not to make people sick by zooming in and out. also its good not to go to fast and not confuse the viewer. also i learned its not good to have multiple tads because it is distracting. We did a lot of research on it so check it out on this link.
I chose a favorite tutorial and we compared it to each other I saw a lot of differences and similarities The difference between my tutorial and the one I watched was there was more detail in the one I watched than mine. Also there are more examples in the one I watched. Also he made it clear and simple, while I didn’t. The quality and quantity was better than mine. we told the plan in the beginning while i didn’t. Some of the similarities were we both gave web addresses to make it easier. Another is that we both gave some references such as “Go in to your Finder like you would for trying to find a document” which made it easy to follow along. We both focused on one point at one time (we didn’t multitask to make it hard for viewers). They were similar in the way we were both using the computer. we both posted what its used for.
Although I told you so much I still need to tell more about what makes a good tutorial. One of them is to add link in descriptions, think of the possibilities (example if it goes wrong), voice, not to go to fast and have prof it works. Another things is that to make sure the final product is good watch it yourself to see. a few more thins are that you should review it with a friend and see if they can follow along from scratch (testing it). Finally make sure you can’t make it any better by editing voice or maybe zooming in a little to focus on one point (not to fast or it might make them dizzy).
I fell like I can make a good tutorial because I watched some tutorials on how to make good tutorials. So if you want to be really good make sure you study up from other people not just me.
My favorite tutorial (how to install and use FRAPS)
in our tech class we chooses 3 tutorials. we had to shoose our favorite one so i looked thouggh allmy notes and one stood out was FRAPS. My favorite was FRAPS because basicliy i killed two birds with one stone because i know we are going to do one are self and this got one of the 3 out of the way and the video recording. Also it was the only one that talked In the video and they had step by step instructions witch was very helpful.
Evaluate Reflection
for my evaluate reflection I will show you whats my favorte part of the project. also I will show you what i learned the most about. finally I will show you what id learner profile I used.
my favorite part of this project was to create it because i was learning by doing and that how i love to learn. i liked that i could be adil to do my own work with how i want it to look not base it on an example. i liked how we had freedom for this project. the part i did not like was the
the thing that i learned the most from the project is the planing. because i was learning by friends and that probably why i payed more attention. also i liked how we had freedom to do this to. i liked how she went over it once and we had to do the rest on are own.
the ID learner profile i used was because balanced because i did used all the areas of the work we were assigned. i also think this i was balanced because it says participates and i did participate
over all in my work i thing i did really well in showing a lot of my self in my blog. i also but a lot of work in it to make it good. i still think i can do better on my blog and i think that over the school year it will slowly start to get better every day.
Creative Reflection
I think it was really hard to learn all the blog stuff and how to make it look good. also it was a pain to add the widgets and the links.
i am some what happy with my blog because it has met most of my goals but but did not meet all of them. some of the reasons i liked it was because i like my header my blog had good content. some of the reasons i did not like it was because is because i don’t think my links are good and my widgets are unorganized.
the thing i love the most in my blog is my header because i think it really describes me. the reason i like this more is because all the other work is not all that organized and looks nice.
i still need to know a bit more about bloging like widgets i’m still not good with them. also for links i had some trouble inserting them.
over all in the blog think that i did a nice job making my blog. with all the content widgets and header thats attractive.
design and plan reflection
In class I got an assignment to draw what we wanted our blog to look like in the future. That immediately made me think about what I see in a good blog. I used that to have an example for my blog. I wrote up a plan for what i can do to how grow my blog.
I chose my theme because it really describes me with my pictures. The pictures described me because it has all the stuff I love to do in it like soccer, minecraft, and baseball. I also made a collage from my pictures for my blog, so that it would look creative. I basically turned a basic
theme into a custom theme of my own.
I would like to learn more about hyperlinks and how you add them. Also, I would like to learn about widgets, how they work, and what they can be used for. Also, I would like to figure out how to have your background change color. I plan on learning all this stuff with 21st century technology – Google and YouTube.
I think that a blog is a great way to learn and see new things in the eyes of other people. Also you get to know someone better. But also don’t give to much personal information away.
My becoming a blog
this is some stuff i thought might be good for my blog. this is what I planed.In my blog I’m going to have three main category’s baseball, school, and technology. in each category i will post little links that take to one of my sud category’s with a lot of information on each subject. I might also post links to take it even deeper in ideas.I should also include pictures to keep my audience interested.
