Drama Singing in the Rain By Gene Kelly

Our class watched this video called Singing in the rain by Gene Kelly, In this blog post we need to give our opinion about rhythm,prop,expression and moving through spaces.

Props:

The main thing he used as a prop is a umbrella, He uses it as a guitar and a balancing stick. He used the umbrella as a umbrella too. The umbrella was used for his dancing and he used to walk while it was raining. At the end a cop comes out and stares at him so he left and gave the umbrella to another person.

 

Rhythm:

In this video the Rhythm he used was too important because it makes the viewer more interested. He had allot of good Rhythm like when he was jumping on the water, just like tap dancing. The Rhythm was also Important because It was Jazz and Jazz always needs Rhythm especially on the old days.

 

Expression:

The whole video the man had a smile until he bumped to a cop and he lost his big smile and it started to fade away. But he made more expressions then just smile, he made a oops face when the police bumped to him.

Moving and space:

The whole video he was moving, He moved around dancing while it was raining. He even tap danced so he used allot of space which means he made it look like he’s really out side dancing and singing on the rain.

 

I thought that Gene Kelly is a great dancer and singer because he did well on movement and he also did well on Expression, He made allot of Rhythm which is good so I give Gene Kelly a 8/10.

Art reflection post

This is my reflection about my self portrait for my art unit.

During my art project for my self portrait I had allot of strengths and weaknesses. In our first unit we used a pencil but in the second we used paint. I realized that paint was fun to use but It was a bit harder to use because the point were the paint comes out is big and a pencil is thin so a pencil has more control. Our unit question is “How do our personal experiences shape our identity?”

During this project I had allot of things I achieved and one thing was being able to paint better then last time.The best thing I achieved in this art project is when I made the face and the nose because I was able to make it look more good then I thought it was going to be.

The main thing about drawing a self portrait seems to be shading because you don’t draw lines for the nose you shade to make it 3D. Shading was not that easy but I was able to do it for unit 1. In unit 2 which Is all about paint, you needed to use different colors as shade. For example the darker part of your face will have allot of shading, which means the paint you should be darker for dark areas of the face.

My strength was when I made the picture creative, My weakness was I didn’t use good shading paint.

In this unit I improved to be more prepared for the next unit. And I also learned some tips to paint a self portrait which is obvious.

 

 

Teachers of the Future: Plan Reflection (Tech)

Hi my name is Francisco and this is my reflection about my technology tutorial, My tutorial is about “How to upload a QuickTimePlayer video to Youtube.

My plan demonstration is demonstrates well because I put allot of detail and I took time. Also the plan has a detail and steps and due date. And also I put the correct information for my plan. The good thing is I put the information I want and the plan is readable because It was meant to be readable and It says step of step what should I do.

What I think about my plan is that It was done well and It can be used as a plan to help me do my tutorial. I think that the plan will help me remember the steps I need to say and the lines for the tutorial I need to say. What I think I could Improve about my plan is that I should put better detail that relate to the right steps or the right points so my tutorial video can be good.

The viewer will learn a new skill because I put detail so the viewer can view and Its not to messy and you can understand it. And also Its made for the viewer. If I was the viewer I would understand because the topic is not that hard. But maybe the viewer might not learn some thing that I didn’t mention about my tutorial.

I learned to create my tutorial I need the skills to edit and film and the skills to plan and do working out which I have and also a important thing you need is timing.I also Learned that you need a clear voice, nice pace and other things like don’t rush, don’t mumble, don’t get off topic, don’t be shy to talk and have fun.

 

My conclusion is that my tutorial plan is understandable and also my Tutorial Storyboard is understandable for me too. What I think I could Improve is my timing of when I do something.

What Stuff We Have Been Learning

 

 

We learned in class about friction and about forces which is related to friction. And friction is force that when you try to touch something that stops you. Force is something that that connects with gravity and It can be very powerful. The deference with force and friction is that force can be allot of things and friction is a type of force.

 

My experiment is about cars bumping each other. one car will hit the other car and we will record how much time it took to take the car to bump the other car. The experiment is a simple experiment.

design task topic

In this experiment we are going to use a ramp and 2 toy cars, The experiment is about which car hits faster and how long does it take to hit the car.

Part 2

I will do my experiment which is crashing the car and knowing which one crashes faster.

My Hypothesis

My Hypothesis is the car can’t fly because in reality cars don’t fly. It might jump or bump a bit.

 

My Variables

My variables is a ramp and toy cars.

The experiment turned out fine …

It took 2.5 seconds to hit the car at the first round because there was force making the car go down hill.

The measurement 1st, 12 cm, 2nd 62 cm ,3rd 35 cm ,4th 52cm, 5th 22cm,6th 44cm and 7th 20cm.
