3rd Day On Field Studies
by Jem on Jan.05, 2012, under Field Studies
On the third day of field studies I think I was a Risk-Taker. I was a Risk-Taker because we did Rock Climbing and River Cleaning on the day. Rock Climbing was fun because the wall was high so I had to take a risk. The rock climbing came in different levels. The levels I did were level 5 and level 2. Level 5 was a bit hard so I had to have a second try. When I accomplished level 5 I was still wanting to do some more climbing. I decided to do an easier level because the instructor told me to maybe compare it with level 5. level two was very high but very easy because there were not so many changes in directions and you didn’t have to reach so far.
After doing rock climbing we went on to river cleaning. River cleaning was a bit tough because we had to pick up garbage. I found a weird looking blob on tfhe floor so I asked one of the Instuctors what it was and he didn’t know what it was so I just put the weird looking blob thing to the plastic bag and looked at my hand and it was all green. That was also taking a risk and also being Open-Minded. After picking up garbage we had a nice BBQ for lunch. The BBQ was really good. I ate Yakisoba, Sausages, Curry and Mash Potato.
When the sun went down we went back to the hotel and had a good night’s sleep to rest for the next day of… Field Studies!

Day 2
On the second day at hakuba we went canoeing at Aokiko Lake and MTB (Mountain Biking). We split into groups so it will be easyer to do eather one. My group went canoeing at Aokiko Lake. After that we ate our Brunch. When we finished eating our lunch we caried on with our activities. It was our turn to do MTB. The MTB was fun because there were hills that were hard but made it better. Later on we left camping to stay in a hotel called Yamano Hotel. We ate a gorgeous dinner at the hotel.

Day 1.
Today was the day to leave Yokohama to go to Nagano Hakuba. We went by bus. The trip was about 5 hours.
When we arrived at Hakuba. we stayed with this group called EverGreen Outdoor Center. We went orienteering with our teachers or the ever green guys. Later that day it soon turned 7:00. We went to do a camp fire. It was fun because we roasted marshmallows.
