In a conference with our parents we made 3 goals about what we want to improve.

  1. To be a less of a distraction in class
  2. To be more calm in class
  3. Give other people chances to talk
I think I have given other people chances to talk instead of me talking.  I have done this and I think I have been a better student in class.
I think I have to be less of a distraction and more calm because sometimes I get out of control so I need to improve in these areas.
I will keep you updated on my progress.

In Tutor we played a game called “Telephone Game,” another name is “Chinese Whispers.”  In this game we started with one whisper and it ended up as another sentence.  When you start a rumor which isn’t mean or bad it can end up as something else that’s mean and can hurt people’s feelings.  These are spread out fast and people can’t hear them clearly and it continues but it changes.  I think we can learn from this by stopping the rumor before it goes and spreads to everyone, then it goes to a teacher and you get in trouble.

Janus is the god of doorways.  He is also the god of beginning and endings.

Last year there was the 3.11 earthquake.  A lot of people were hurt and some were killed.  I became more aware of what can happen when your in Japan so you have to be prepared.  I graduated into middle-school.  I made the A-team in 6th grade so I was really proud.  I grew stronger as a soccer player because the other players were bigger than me.

I think I will get better at soccer and I will get stronger so I don’t get pushed off the ball.  I will get better at soccer by practicing soccer by myself when I have free time.  I will get stronger by doing push-ups and sit-ups before I go to bed.  I think I will grow and I will be taller.  I will do this by drinking milk.

If I had to teach three MYP classes I would teach PE, Science and Humanities.

If I were a PE teacher the unit questions would be:

  • Am I good enough to be pro?
  • What position am I playing and what am I doing?
  • Where is space and what should I do?
  • Can I do it or am I not trying?
  • Am fit for life?

The students would play indoor and outdoor invasion games.  In those games such as Soccer we would learn the skills to play and how to see and move to space.

In PE when you count the score you have to use math.  Also when you are doing a 1-2 pass there has to be passes at around a specific degree to complete the play.

If I were a Science teacher my unit questions would be:

  • Is it or is it not safe?
  • What use does Science have to your life?
  • What happens when earthquakes occur
  • Why are animals on top of the food chain?

The students would create a miniature model of how earthquakes happen, a clay model of the food chain, a dry ice bomb, making slime and mixing chemicals.

Science connects to English because you might read a book in English about Science.   Natural disasters are connected to math because in math you might learn how to measure natural disasters.

Science is the area of intercation which is human ingnuity because in science you learn how to make thing and how they work.

This wordle is about adjectives that describe me.  We did this in Homeroom like the other wordle which was about hobbies I like.

This is a Wordle of my hobbies, places I like, teams I like, food I like and companies I like.  To get your own Wordle got to http://www.wordle.net/.  On wordle the words that are bigger are the ones that I like the most.  The smaller ones are not my favorites.  The color does not matter.  The only thing that matters is the size.
