Today we did an experiment with a boat. This is our second time doing it. The first time we had to make it with just aluminium foil. But the second time we got to use chopsticks and clay. We made a boat with it. I our group I had Daiki and Yudai. There were to ideas Yudai and I had the same idea but Daiki had another idea. Me and Yudai’s idea was that our boat was going to be like a square one. Why we picked it was because when we did it with a aluminum foil Arunansu’s held more than fifty. We did janken to pick but we both lost so we did daiki’s idea.
In drama today we watched a video called Singing in the rain. The guy in this video is called Gene Kelly. I think he used a lot of props in this video for an example Water,tapping shoes,umbrella, and his hat. I like think he was dancing on the sidewalk. He made rhythm with his tapping shoes on the sidewalk. He also was spinning his umbrella. He hand on to the pole and he made rhythm with water by kicking the water.
How he used rhythm is that he was using a umberlla by spinnning it and throwing it in the air. One of the most thing that he used rhythm on was his shoes he made the rhythm by tapping his shoe on the ground. He is very creative. I think his shoes were tapping shoes. He hang on to poles and he used his umbrella also as a cane. It was funny at the very end when the guy ran away from the police and gave is umrella to a randon person on the side walk. I think he is very good at using his props because he uses it in a good way for an example he uses the umbrella in three diffrent ways. One is as a normal ubrella and then he spins it and the very last he uses it as a cane,
He did good on using the props and I think he really is good with using the prop at the right time because when he makes a rhythm he uses a prop.
He did good did not get the part where he gave his umbrella to a random person on the sidewalk even though it was raining and he had to put it on.
I think he wanted to get wet in this video because he folded his umbrella in the rain. And he started singing. And also I think he wanted his voice to go around the buildings when he went on the pole.
During this unit we had to paint our faces with paint. We first started with the sketching which was done by pencil. I think I did my sketching faster then the first unit when we did the drawing portrait. I used primary colds for my face, lips and background. I think I did good on painting it flat. What I did bad is my eyes because they were wobbly and there was a bit of orange in my eyes. I should of put a thicker black line in my lip. And also I think I did good on my jacket. I took a little time to make the brown on the side. I think doing this I had faster speed then the last unit when we did the drawing.
What I have made progress on is that we I used primary colors in my painting. I think I should use more brush techniques in my painting. I should put more expression in my writing. I think I improved and got better at my painting before.
The progress I made in this unit is I learned different kinds of painting. For an example I learned what complimentary colors and primary colors is. I got faster with my sketching.
I made my background blue because it is primary colors. I did not do so will on my nose because it is very small and hard to see. If you see it quickly I think people wouldn’t be able to see it.
My conclusion is that I should express my feelings more on my face because I did not express well on my background and my face. I should improve on my nose more next time.
During this unit we did a research about Music and rhythm in Africa we first watched a video about the drums in africa. The funny part was when the person who was anouncing the names was playing the drum at the very end. Then now we did a presentation about african music which is called African Music research.
I should explain more about my work next time. I made good progress on my work. What I should improve next time is I should explain more about my work. ONe of my goal was to improve on my task and make good progress. Wrote two goals.
What I am proud about this project is that I put a lot of pictures and maps for my civilization. I think I had good detailed sentences for my project. Why I like this project is because I worked the hardest on this project the most. Those were all the things I liked about my imaginary civilization project.
One of the things I should improve next time is use better vocabulary words so they can understand my project more.
I would not live in my civilization because there isn’t healthy food there. For an example they have a lot of sweet stuff.
Today we played a telephone game how we played is a person thinks of a sentence and paces it on the next to next tillthe last you get to the end. We never got it right except we were closet the very last one. This game started from people’s rumors. This could teach us that making bad rumors about people can get out of control and bad for people.
