My Favorite Tutorial: How to Draw a Cartoon Monkey

We’ve been researching tutorials in Tech class to find out what’s good about them, and what’s bad. I watched three different tutorials, and if I wanted to use one of them, it would probably be my first tutorial about drawing cartoon monkeys. I would choose that one, because the creator shows you how you can change the first drawing around to show the monkey in different positions. I wouldn’t use the 2nd tutorial, because it’s hard to understand, and I wouldn’t use the third, because it only shows you how to paint the ocean on a calm day with no waves, so it wouldn’t be helpful if you wanted to paint the ocean in a storm. The first tutorial doesn’t do either of those things, so I would choose that instead of the others.

Hi Alina. Just saw the tutorial. I think it was pretty good. He was talking really clearly so people could understand. I think maybe he could have made it a bit shorter but it was still good. :)

I think this tutorial was really good!!! I think the creator made the steps very clear and also told the steps in a lot of detail. But maybe the creator could of made the tutorial shorter!! Overall great tutorial, now I know how to draw a cheeky monkey!!

Hi Alina! I think this tutorial is good at explaining how you exactly draw it. I also like it that he said “like a peanut” when he was drawing the body of the monkey. I think that in the first monkey he should have sketched the tail before he started outlining it with the pen. Overall I think it was a good tutorial!

I think this is a good tutorial was great!!!! I like the way in the start he says why he is doing this tutorial and he makes the start into a little fun chat. I also like the way when he draws something he stops so that the viewer could see what he’s doing and draw one too. I also noticed that he describes the things that he draws for example “like a M”, “Kind of a dome” and “Peanut shape” I love the way he does that.
