My name is Alina, and I am a sixth-grader at YIS (Yokohama International School). My mom’s American and my dad’s Dutch. I have a brother named Paul and a sister named Tessa. I was born in America during vacation, and then my family came back to Japan. When I was 3 I moved to Belgium, and when I was 5 I moved back to Japan and started YIS.
My hobbies are reading, writing, singing and dancing. My two favorite series of books are Harry Potter, by J.K. Rowling, and Fablehaven, by Brandon Mull, because fantasies always have something exciting going on. I love to read, because when I read I feel like I’m in the world of the book. When I get a good story idea I write it down quickly so that I don’t forget it. I’ve started at least five stories, but never finished one of them… I love singing and dancing, because music makes me happy and songs get stuck in my head wherever I go.
