On tuesday we went to Tokyo National Museum and Ueno zoo.
First we went to Ueno Zoo and we saw a lot of animals.In ueno zoo we got into groups that the teacher decided and we all had an animal we had to research. In my group there was maya. keina, tyler, sean and me. My animal was a capybara. We checked the map and found out that the capybara was the closest to the location we were in so we head off to the place where the capybara is located.
While going to the capybaras we looked at a lot of animals like polar bears, bears, Giant panda, seals and owls. We reached the location where the capybara is and when I tried to take a picture of the capybara it ran away and didn’t come back and when I saw the sign for the capybara it said the time where the capybara is outside and we were over the time so I couldn’t take a picture. After that we went off looking at other animals and the place where the penguins were smelled terrible and also where the hippo was also smelled terrible too. Then we ate lunch and the other people who were eating on another desk were giving food to the birds and they went under the table and flew out. After that we head off to the Tokyo National Museum.
In the Tokyo National Museum It was like a maze and I didn’t know where I was but I was with my friend sean. Then we looked around figuring out where we were. We had a map because another student gave us the map but we never used it. I learned about objects in the museum.
The sansai botan monsara is a dish and it had chinese looking art even if it is a japanese dish. It was made by kairakuen ware in the 19th century. The ichigyosho has kanji characters from china. It was made by dairinsoto in the 16th century. The tachi yamatomono (shishio). The sword name is believed to come from the design of chinese lions. It was made in the 12th centutry. The kurourushi uchi gatana was made by yoshie in the 19th century.
We looked at swords and a man told us the difference between a tachi sword and a katana. A tachi swords tip of the blade is going up and a katana’s tip of the blade is going down. A tachi sword is older than a katana. The reason the tachi swords tip is going up is because when the tachi sword was around they used to cut up and after that katana’s were invented and they started to cut down. Exept a samurai people were only supposed to have a sword shorter than 60cm.
I thought this was a good trip and I learned a lot from this trip and I enjoyed it so much.

Hi, I am Sungwon. First I think you will need a picture for your object for people to know what object you are doing. I like the way you described what you did before the museum. It was funny that you said it looks like a maze. I liked it. But your object was really detailed.
