Grade 6
This is my showcase portfolio. My goals for this year is:
1.Be more organized with my work
I think that I have been more organized than I was in the start of the year. I still forget to do some things but I think that I basically remember what I have to do. I still need to work on bringing in things that I need for class and remembering the homework that we have.
2.Speaking in a louder voice
I still need to speak louder when a I answer questions but I think that I speak louder than I did at the start. I still need to talk more in class and say my ideas but when I do I talk louder. Talking louder is a big goal for me because it is a big problem in my other classes too. Sometimes I notice that when I’m talking to friends I talk louder to them than I do in class when I’m sharing my idea about the topic that we are talking about.
3.Putting more detail in my work
I think that I have been putting more detail in my work than from the start. My writing is more detailed than it was before and I add more examples in my writing than before. I still sometimes don’t really have detail or examples in my work sometimes so I still need to work on writing better.
Tech:
For tech I chose the tutorial project. I liked this project because I think I did well in this video. I used a clear and loud voice when I explained what you needed to do. I liked how we planned and we made a storyboard than we made our video. I liked this project because we had time to plan out the whole video and to also make a storyboard to show how the finished one would look like.
English:
For english I think I did good with the experimenting with angles post. I like this blog post because I put details in the explaining of the unit. Not just because it is long but I noticed that there was some examples and theres detail in the explanation. I also left a explanation to each picture that I showed in the post.
Humanities:
For humanities I chose the long lost civilization reflection. I chose this one because I thought I explained the idea of the subject very well and I also enjoyed the unit. I also gave a small piece of information for which kind of long lost civilization I did for the story. I also think that I reflected on the project very well. The next time I think that I should’ve gave some examples of the writing I did in the project.
Science:
For science I think that the egg drop experiment reflection was my best piece of work in science. I think it was good because it was long and detailed. I also think that I explained what we did in that project very well. I also used lots of examples of what we did in that class. I also wrote down everything that we used to make the egg survive in that unit. I liked that project because it was very interesting.
