Blog Challenge!!

It is almost the end of our 6th grade school year! We learned a lot of things in our humanities class! I would like to reflect on what we did and learned about.

Humanities is a class that we learn about humans and history. For example this year we learned about the ancient civilizations and homo sapiens and homo habilis. Also, we about the changes on earth and how earth and humans developed.

The most important thing I learned this year was about the homo sapiens since they discovered and created many new things to keep them alive for their tributes. Also, I learned that both earth and humans can control each other. For example, humans cause global warming, which causes the melting ice in the north and south pole and many animals are becoming endangered eventually. On the other hand, the earth can control humans. Natural disasters such as earthquakes and tornadoes  and unusual weather can affect people’s life, environment, and society.

The most important ideas I learned are the 7 characteristics to make a good civilization which are: Writing, Government and Laws, Economy, Art and Architecture, Class System, Division of Labour and Religion. I think most of the civilizations have progressed based on these characteristics so their civilization will function.

I would like to learn more about history of many countries after ancient times and how our current life and society has been developed. If we had the opportunity to learn this, I would like to learn about Japanese history as well.

I think humanities is a very interesting class since we learn about history and humans. In my opinion, I think it is a good class so I am looking forward to humanities in 7th grade!!
