Showcase Portfolio Grade 6

We made goals for Student Led Conferences and for the rest of our 6th grade year.

Stay on topic in class and think before I say my opinions, suggestions or thoughts to a question.

I think I have almost achieved “Stay on topic in class and think before I say my opinions, suggestions or thoughts to a question.” because I think I started to understand what the teacher is talking about and also have ideas when it is a group discussion. It helped me this year because I had more time discussing than thinking and explaining about my opinion.

Improve on grammar and spelling for essays and blog posts.

I think I am achieving “Improve on grammar and spelling for essays and blog posts.” because I started to think back to see if the sentence makes sense or not and fix grammatical mistakes by myself. It helped me this year because I get better grades for writing assessments and assignments.

Stop speaking Japanese in classes except for Japanese class.

I think I am doing well on “Stop speaking Japanese in classes except for Japanese class.” because I try my best to speak in English during class time and save Japanese for break time. I am achieving will try to achieve this goal and my grammar goal at the same time because they are both about English. It helped me improve speaking English and also my grammar because lately, I got good grades in my English Exam and my Podcast.

Here are special pieces of work that I would like to highlight…

Humanities

I am very proud and also had fun doing my Humanities Civilization work because we got to make our own civilization, and it was very exciting.

PE

Also, I am VERY proud of my Gymnastics Dance in PE because it turned out to be a good performance.

English

I think I did well on my English Greek god speech because we had to retell a greek god story from a character’s perspective. I also found this interesting because I found out that the story could change by the way they tell the story.

Art

I think this Ar t Piece is very well done because I was able to express myself in one painting as much as possible.

Technology

I also liked my Tutorial because we got to plan, shoot and film by ourselves and create our own tutorial.

Drama

Here is my Summative Dance from Drama.I liked it because we got to create our own dance with our favorite song as a background music.

Japanese

For Japanese class, I liked our news report because it was very fun and our final product turned out to be very funny.

Math

For Math, I am proud of my mathletics task on Chance and Probability because I am not very good at it, but I got perfect scores for everything.

Science

For Science, I liked my brochure about Red Pandas because I enjoyed going on the field trip to Ueno Zoo and liked watching cute little Red Pandas.

Spanish

I liked my Comic strips from Spanish. I liked my informal dialogue because I like comics and it was very interesting to make a comic in Spanish.

Koto

Finally, for Koto I am very proud of all the work I did and played in concerts and schools.

These work are special to me because I had fun and also enjoyed working on it.
