Theres three types of blues. Delta blues, Chicago Blues, Memphis Blues. They are all different types of blues. The delta blues are modern blues and the Chicago blues and the Memphis Blues were made in the 1920’s.
Delta Blues is one of the most earliest styles of blues music. They use the Guitar,harmonica and cigar box guitar are the dominant instruments used, with slide guitar (usually on the steel guitar) being a hallmark of the style.It originated in the Mississippi delta, a region of the United States.There are lots of Delta Blues player Cecil Augusta,Mose Allison,Tommy Bankhead,Kid Bailey and others.
Women and men sang the delta blues .In big city blues, women singers dominated the recordings of the 1920s, such as Ma Rainey, Bessie Smith and Mamie Smith. In Delta Blues and other rural or folk style blues women rarely recorded the blues. The delta blues are not as popular than before.
The Chicago blues is a form of blues music that developed in Chicago, Illinois, by taking the basic acoustic guitar and harmonica-based Delta blues, making the harmonica louder with a microphone and an instrument amplifier, and adding electrically amplified guitar, amplified bass guitar, drums, piano and sometimes saxophone and trumpet.
Chicago blues was street corner-based music. At first, the blues clubs in Chicago were filled with black performers, and the music itself was aimed for black audiences. Most of the blues clubs were on the far south side of Chicago, so white people did not visit them. Later, however, more and more white audiences visited the clubs and listened to the music. This caused clubs to open up on the north side. In addition, more white men started playing the blues after it became popular.

After I heard most of the blues song that the teacher showed me, in my opinion I will say that I don’t like the blues, because I like more modern songs and most of the blues songs are sad. If the blues song were a bit more happier I will like it.
