Field studies day 3

On the third day, I didn’t wake up until past 6:30am. I was so tired from the day before, I couldn’t wake up. That day, the bus two went river cleaning. It was really fun, and I liked walking with my friends to the river. To me, the river was more like “River play”. We just went to the river and we were able to drink the river water, which was really good. Me and my friends crossed the river by walking to the other side, and my feet nearly froze to death. But it was fun. On the second river, I fel into it while walking, and it was so cold!! .

Then we had a really good lunch!! Yakisoba! After eating and hanging out with my friends for a while, bus 1 went river cleaning and bus 2 went rock climbing. I was scared, because I am really afraid of heights *_*.

When we reached the rock climbing place, I really felt like if I was going to faint. Even the easiest one looked so hard for me. When we broke into groups and I went to the easiest one, I went one before last. I liked looking at everyone and then it seemed fun, but when it was actually my turn, I regretted that thought. I went about a meter and 50cm, almost exactly my height. When I looked down, I thought I was going to die there. So I came down soon, half crying. My friends were all laughing, which angered me a bit But mostly, the day was really fun. And I think I was a risk taker during the rock climbing .

Field Studies Day two

I was awoken up at 4:00am because of Mimi’s singing. She was singing an really weird song, and everybody else besides me, were singing out loud. Because it was so cold, I stayed awake for a few minutes until I could sleep again. I mostly remember that it was really cold, and I had to wear my hat to sleep. Later, I woke up around 7:00am.

After eating breakfast, bus 1 and bus 2 were separated. Bus 1 went mountain biking, and bus 2 went canoeing. I went canoeing with Mimi. It was my first time, and I was really bad at it. Every single time we were last, and I was always teased by Zerric and Toshi . Then we had lunch, which was really good. Then, we switched activities, but because I can’t do mountain biking, I did canoeing again. This time, I went on with Layna, and Raveena. Because we went on with three people, it was hard, but I enjoyed it. This time, the wind was stronger so it was harder than the last time. On the first time I went on, none of us fell off the canoe, except Jem, but on the second time, at least three people fell off. When I went back to get changed, some of my friends were freezing to death. After changing, it was really cold again, so we started to play games. Then we finally went to the hotel. While we were on the bus, I grew sleepy so I slept a bit…

We soon reached the hotel, and we went to our rooms. There were two floors, and the top floor was an tatami room. Our room was bigger than the boys and I was happy because Somebody kept on teasing me that the girls will get the tatami room. Then we had dinner, and it was Tomoka’s birthday so we had a birthday dessert. Yay! That was mostly our second day.

Field Studies First day

On the first day, we met at school around 6:45. I woke up around 6:00, and I was planning to sleep in the bus but I couldn’t after all:(  I was on the second bus, and I was sitting with Keina from the other class. The bus ride was really long, and I grew tired sitting down, but I enjoyed my time while I was on the bus. I was mostly talking my friends, listening to music, and reading a book. We also watched Toy Story 3 halfway the trip, because all of us were so tired of sitting and was about to die from boredom.

When we finally reached Hakuba, I was really tired of sitting and I was glad to be able to stand up and walk. We soon started to build are tents, and I grew really irritated(I don’t know why), but for my group, it took us about 10 minutes to build a tent. Then we put our luggage and sleeping bags in our tents after we finished building the tent. After that, we went to orientation. I liked orientation, because the people in my team were all my friends. We walked through the woods, and the weeds were so tall that it was extremely hard to walk through those. The ground was rocky and the mud was really wet so my feet hurt after the orientation. During orientation, I think I was being a communicator because while we tried to solve the riddles, I communicated with the people in my group. When we came, some of us started to write their diaries, or we helped making dinner. I wrote my diary quickly, and I helped with dinner.

After dinner, we went to roast marshmallows. We also played games(and I was one of the winners!:D) and we sang. Because I was one of the winners, I was supposed to be able to eat more marshmallows then the people who lost, but somebody ate more than me, which really annoyed me.

Then we went back, and I went back to my tent to sleep, but I couldn’t sleep because it was so cold. I couldn’t sleep until past 11:00pm.

There is only a few days until field studies!!

I am really excited, I can stay away from my family( Well, I am a little nervous though..) for a week and stay with my friends! I have been to camp during  4th grade, but it was really short, only 3 days! I am looking forward to camp out on the first day, but I am kind of nervous because I know it’s really cold, and I can catch a cold easily

I know we are doing lots of activities,  and I think they will be fun. I really want to go on the canoe, but I am a little scared that I might fall off because I can’t swim. If I fall off, I am sure Sophia would help me (I think…) I don’t know if I can I do rock climbing, because I am scared of heights. So I am little afraid of the hot air balloon too… But I think I will be able to survive, if Sophia and Tobi won’t prank me. But from the tone of Sophia’s voice, I know she will prank/tease me…

I will enjoy my time at camp, and I will especially have fun pranking Tobi and Sophia if I can, but I will try to have  fun.
