This is the first showcase portfolio.
In art, I chose my portrait drawing because this is the piece of work that I have to improve a lot, especially the part where I need the gradation.
In Drama, I chose the unit improvisation (theater sports event) because I got very good score, especially when creating new actions in different kinds of games. Also, my reflection was detailed and thorough.
In EAL, I chose the unit attacking and supporting (Uniform Persuation Map) because I enjoyed learning with this piece of a group work, especially when adding the example or fact to support our team and attack the opponent team (supporting to have uniforms or attacking to not have uniforms).
In English, I chose my piece of work called the Roald Dahl Character Essay, because I really enjoyed writing and learning about my character.
In Humanities, I chose my River Vally Civilization Report because I really enjoyed learning and writing about the river vally civilization, especially learning their writing.
In Japanese, I chose my work which is called Yujo Monogatari because I did really well on this writing assessment. I thought I will get lower score because I thought this assessment is difficult, but after this writing assessment was marked, I was suprised because I got higher score than I had expected.
In Mathematics, I chose the assessment called Fractions (test of knowledge and understanding) because I improved a lot compared to last years test. When I saw this score, I was proud because I improved.
In Music, I chose a piece of music called Hanaikada (which is also an assessment) because I got scores that meant very skilled of playing this music in koto (9 out of 10).
In P.E, I chose the Cross Country unit (reflection) because I improved a lot during this unit. Also, I improved a lot compared to the last year’s Cross Country unit.
In Science, I chose the assessment called One World because this is the only piece of work that I need to really improve. The reason why I need to really improve on this is because I didn’t explain further until the end about why the ice will melt when the salt is on it.
In Technology, I chose the work assessment called the Teachers of the Future! (reflection) because I did very well in the assessment, especially researching the tutorial and explaining about why this tutorial is good and why not.
My goals are to organize well for class, stay on task well in class and finish homework before the due date.
