If I was teacher…

Now, If I was a teacher, I would teach Music (Koto). I really like this subject and would like to teach it.

My unit question would be:

How do you tell the world how good Japanese music is: How can I become a better player

05.10.11                             Negishi                        2                                      18:13                      Nervous, but happy that I did 2 laps.
07.10.11                             Negishi                        2                                      18:10                     Improved my time!!!! Yippee!!
12.10.11                              Negishi                        2                                      18:32                    Shoe was loose, decreased my time. Not HAPPY!!
14.10.11                              Negishi                        2                                      19:43                    I felt really slow!!! I walked a bit.
2.11.11                                 Negishi                        2                                      20:01                    I had a really bad cramp. I had to walk because it was getting really painful.
4.11.11                                  Negishi                       2                                      19:42                    Slightly better time then last time. Luckily, I didn’t have any cramps.
9.11.11                                  Negishi                       2                                       18:12                    Finally, my time is getting better!!

10.11.11                                Negishi                       2                                       17:14                     The big day has come.  I pushed my-self and I had a huge improvment.

When our teacher announced that we were going to run two laps, I was like “Oh no!! We are going to die!!” but when I did it I was pleased with my-self for running two laps. This was my first time so I was happy. It was really fun and it was quite exciting. For most of the runs, I had cramps so I had to stop, but I set goals and managed to get to the finish line. My goals were, I would mark a point and then run to it, and keep on saying to my self ” Dont stop, dont stop” and I managed to do it.

Plan Reflection

In Tech class, we have been learning how to make a blog and how to use it. We have also learned how to be a good blogger. At the very fist start of the unit, we made out own blog. I chose and made a blog that represents me.

The blog theme that I chose represents me, because I like blue and I am not a really color person. It is simple and easy to find old posts. The theme’s name is “Arclite” and I find it a really nice looking blog. There are different settings and colors you can change. When I was working with my Partner, she said it suites me. She thought the color matched and it was simple. When I was looking through the themes, I found a cool theme “Blue moon” but I wasn’t sure if it matched me, because it had a girly-sort-of-blue text color. The header of this blog is big and it matches the whole template.

I wanted to know how to make a menu that drop downs all the categories you have created, so I started fiddling around with the settings and finally managed to crack it. Few days later, I told Tobi.

The menu on my blog is simple and it shows all the menus I have made.

This unit was very fun and I enjoyed making my blog how I want it to be.

Art Reflection (Portrait)

For our first ten weeks of art, we have been focusing on portraits. Our unit question is “How does observing help us learn?” and our significant concept was “Observational skills play an important role in our lives and in our artwork.” During this unit, I have improved my art and shading skills. This unit also helped me improve my Observational skills.

When I drew my first drawing, it looked terrible and didn’t look anything like me. I got my head shape wrong, and the eyes pupil, was a circle. My nose looked like a pig nose and everything else looked different compared to a human. My eyes were too high and my mouth was too small. My face was just 2D. Throughout the unit, I have been improving my 3D skills. I think it looks good.

The most challenging part of this drawing was the nose, shading and hair. The hair was really difficult, because the lighting and texture was hard. The nose was also hard, because I didn’t want it to turn into a pigs nose. And for last, the shading. I did not know where to shade and where to shade darker than other places. Not only that, I didn’t want to have pencil lines show like a tornado.

6A Theatre Sports Event

These are our two videos of our group. This includes me. I will post the other videos of my group.

My strengths would be the video of me performing “Statues”. I tried to make it as funny as I could and It sort worked. I spoke with a loud voice and used my whole body. My weaknesses would be in the other video. I was not really creative and I was not really reacting to the scene. I could improve by adapting to the scene and continue it.

The easy thing about this would be me doing statues. I was confident and knew what I was doing. The challenging thing would be me adapting to the scene.

Science

Today in Science class, we were mixing alcohols and normal tap water. We mixed it together and it was really bubbly. It was not something where you say “WOW!!” It was just, bubbly. Nothing interesting.
