In our P.E unit have been looking at the rules of international foot ball.We have been playing International football and learning skills for the past few weeks. F0r our P.E assessment task for this unit,we had to find a video, article or episode about sports and internationalism or sportsmanship. I chose a video about bad sportsman ship.
In this video you can clearly see that the girl who ran to first base pushed the other girl who was standing on first base. This is very poor sportsman ship. The whole meaning of sportsman ship is to be fair and this is the opposite. The girl who was running just pushed the other girl only for herself. She needs to score points for her team by using her own skills and power not by cheating and violence. I think this is the worst thing that someone can do in this case.In this case she should of just tried her best and if she could not make it let it go and go back to her team mates.Since they are only teenagers,I think it is very important for teachers to teach kids good sportsman ship and bad sportman ship.
For the past few weeks in P.E.,we have been working out gymnastic performance in groups. My group members were Elina,Marina,Maya and I.We used Avril Lavigne’s “Push” for our song.
In our performance we many different type of skills.I mainly did cartwheels and forward rolls. We all mainly did different types of skills. Elina mainly did forward roles and cartwheels and Marina and Maya mainly did Cartwheels and forward roles as me.
I think our movements were pretty sequenced,we moved like we planned to although some parts turned out better. Our moves flowed nicely. I think we did a good job on sending eye contact to each other and communicating on when to start.
I found the cartwheels and balancing most challenging. Since I practiced cartwheels it was not to hard to know how to do it,it was hard to get my legs straight. The balancing was hard because I was always on the bottom fo every pose. I had to try and keep my self steady for the person on top. I also had trouble accepting my mistakes. Overall I could not overcome my cartwheel challenge. I tried but my legs were still bent. On the other hand I think I did a good job on balancing.
I enjoyed doing cartwheels and forward rolls the most. Although the cartwheels were hard for me I enjoyed it the most. I enjoyed the forward rolls because it was very simple and easy.
Our practice sessions were productive. My group practices most of the time but when we got really tired we rested a bit. We improved a lot during the performance.I would like to improve on doing different types of routines at once, because we were not able to do different things at once.
Overall I think we did a good job,we made few mistakes but we got it back together at the end.
Process goal- I will nto walk during the whole run.
To achieve my goal I used a breathing techniques my mom told me. Which is to breath in and breath out if your nose. I also tried watching the ground while running. I practiced a lot before cross crountry day. I ran in the rain too. I made a table to show my process for my cross country runs.
I think I will give my self a 6 out of 8 because I could not complete my process goal because I walked on the 2 lap, but i still want to give myself a higher score because I did complete my outcome goal, and I think I did a good job pacing myself.
It’s cross country time. The time of the year to go run around Negishi park. In middle school we run 2 laps of Negishi park Which is 2.4km. Some fast kids went on the harder course which has up hills and down hills but I stayed on the normal course. Down on the left top are my goals, and at the bottom is my 2 laps time for each week.
MY GOALS: 1. I want to run 2 laps with out walking or stopping
