Tokyo National Museum Reflection

On May 8th we went to a field trip to the Tokyo National Museum. We went there because our Humanities topic was about Silk Road. It was the first time I went there. I was expecting to see many Japanese stuff and other countries stuff.

I chose the Long sword designed by Houki Yasutsuna. It is a national treasure too. This sword was made by a famous wordsmith called Houki Yasutsuna. He lived in the Heian period. His sword was made by Minamoto Yorimitsu. He was a famous fighter during the Edo Period.

I thought this was interesting because I like the shape and it has long history. I chose to describe this because I thought it was cool and I never saw a national treasure sword. I learned that in Japan there are lots of swords that look cool.

I found another picture. It was a well made picture. I think it represents Japan. It was made a about in 1300-1400. I think this was a unique picture because the illustrator was creative that he wrote about Japanese culture.

I think these things had some connection to the silk road. It might have been sent somewhere else. I think this didn’t have any other connection with other country because it was made for someone in Japan. Another reason is because in that time Japanese people did not let other people in Japan.

I think it is good by putting lots of information about animals and national treasure. I think you could improve on putting more important things or curious things that we didn’t know.
